Wow, blast from the past. I worked there in the mid 90s, and the Crush bar was ... different to how it looked here; it was the ground floor at the front of the building, running the whole length. All windows and comfy seating, with a little inset cafe you could buy a cuppa and a sausage in a bap. There was a grand piano sat at the far end - they'd wheel it into Studio B when needed for PM at 1, but most of the time it sat by the doors, and after work each day when the building quietened down I used to sit and play it (badly). Man, I miss those days. Thanks for this :)

I went to the auction of items at PM and used the opportunity as a tour of the place even though there was plenty of rent-a-guard there i assume to keep people away from what i think may still have been just about operational areas. I was stunned how little had been spent on the building for years, and this video confirms it with a relatively late use of Beta SP in a broadcast context, even a BBC Model B computer...

All dust now demolition of the lot was in 2005.

As you say it was demolished & a big shiny Dental Training School erected in its place.

By which time I was 35. I remember Pebble Mill when growing up!
