I can't believe this is a free video series. Thank you! I am taking a Solidworks class this fall, and I'm trying to get my feet under me with it. The last design software I used was AutoCad 2004LT!
This is much needed, there are a lot of "tutorials" out there with just some music and the person powering through a project without explaining anything. And it is recent too. Just the best, thank you.
best beginner video ever.... And for new engineers, remember tolerances must be as large as possible,, roundings and chamfers cost about 100 dollars per piece when the workpiece has to be turned / milled, make the workpiece so simple,, it is a huge mistake to think you are skilled because the workpiece is nicely on the screen REMEMBER THAT and set measurements so that all measurements can be read on the drawing, then you are skilled and the people who will produce the item will say skilled man
WOW! I've used Sketchup for many years, I am an infrequent user so I find I am always having to relearn skills. This video has convinced me to add Solidworks to my skill set as I wade into 3d printing Great presentation! Thank you!
Hi! I'm back! You helped me greatly learning solidworks for my thesis and I had great results. Now I have to study solidworks again for an interview as I forgot lots of it! I was especially looking for your videos because you are amazing at explaining everything!
Hi! I just stumbled across your series while trying to get more in depth with solidworks. I was hoping you could explain your series progression. Should I watch E1 that was released recently for the 2023 version then progress to the final exam review video released for the 2020 version? Or will you be re-recording the series for the 2023 version? Thank you!
Just FYI about the Real View. I have a 3060 GeForce RTX which is a gaming card and not a professional and Real View works just fine without going through any hoops or settings.
While i was following tutorial, when i press sketch the view don't go automatically to front view and when i press extrude view doesn't update back to isometric???
Hello Preston, thank you for the kind words. This is a college course, not intended for hobbyists. Here is a 10 minute version for attention deficit users. th-cam.com/video/VpcXZE2mCb8/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUTZTEgc29saWR3b3JrcyBzbWFzaA%3D%3D

Chris you are a great SolidWorks teacher. Not too fast, not too slow and just the right amount of detail.
