Maybe the prosecutor was convinced or was LIED to
Maybe the prosecutor was scared he wouldn't be reelected or have a job if it turned out he did something wrong
Some prosecutors are corrupt n they railroad to look good IN POLITICS and to move up but I ain't willing to condemn someone I don't know

I’m sick & tired of them not looking into the actual facts it’s like them saying any black man will do to solve another case. The dumb police need to realise not every black man looks alike as not every white man is alike, do some actual police work & dig deep into a case & get evidence not just pick a random man. Shameful police work & they have to do better as to many innocent men r imprisoned while the true guilty remain free. I truly hope this man has a wonderful life.

I know how it feels to be accused of every damn thing that happens. I was a heroin addict at a young age and I got clean and even still just a couple years ago, I had police rip me out of my car in front of my babies and accuse me of being on something and asking to search and I’m like go ahead. I know drug charges and a robbery pop up when they run my license but they can also see that was over 10 years ago and I’ve been clean for 9 years and got married and have 3 babies and own a house in the country and I have nice vehicles I mean you can clearly see I’m not a junkie on the street anymore. At 1st I blamed myself, “well it’s my fault I put myself on this situation”, but no more. I deserve to have the life I have and I worked hard for it and I promise next time I’m harassed I’m takin it to court. I was also an addict because I have had 4 spine surgeries, hip surgery, and heart surgery and have had a disability since I was 8. I’m not gonna say none of it was my fault but I became addicted to heroin during the OxyContin crisis when they told everyone it was safe and really it turned us all into junkies. They should have sympathy for people like me, not contempt. I still am in excruciating pain every day of my life.

This is heartbreaking. And you know his dad was holding on till he got out of prison. You can just tell that this man is innocent and it's very upsetting that the justice system has done this to him and many, many more young black men . This broke my heart fr. Bless him in every way Lord. A good man right here.

Unfortunately this man will never recover from this. No matter what this will follow him until the day he passes. The court of public opinion is too powerful and once you’re implicated in a crime like this you are automatically guilty. Even if you’re cleared of all charges you still are tainted with those charges. I had a similar situation happen in the army, a female I had a physical relationship with accused me of the same crime when I tried to end things with her. I was automatically barred and flagged and confined to base for 19 months. Once her cell phone was confiscated and her story fell apart she all of sudden no longer wanted to testify which meant the whole case was dropped against me. 30 days later I was honorably discharged without so much as an apology from anyone. I salute this man for staying strong and not giving in to these monsters that pretend to be serving justice

Taiwan got his name cleared. And the court will need to take him off the sex offender list. Took away his freedom is so not cool.
He deserves to get his life back in action.

Something similar to this happened to a family member of mine. He didn’t take any deals fortunately, his name was cleared but he was forcibly incarcerated for years bc his trial kept getting pushed back. The fact that you can directly violate the constitution’s right to a speedy trial like this is disgusting, and I can’t imagine what kind of person can sleep at night knowing they’re doing this to someone. I hope this is the kind of judgement they get at their end.

I pray this mans life is restored and that he is repaid somehow for this immense injustice. God bless him. Thank you Steve for stepping in for him.

so when are we as us citizens going to push for justice for people like this??? the prosecutors, accusers, judge. ANYONE involved in putting someone away for a crime they didn’t commit should do the same amount of time they had to do. AND restitution for the victim.

It’s sad this man lost 4 yrs for something he didn’t do it’s sad cause there are more men like him doing time for crimes they didn’t commit and I love the Seve Wilkos Show because he helps innocent people clear their names and I commend him for fighting for the victims of crimes and people that didn’t do the crimes they were in prison or jail for ❤

Welp, As the Great show Law n Order would say, "Since U Opened the Door," I'm a bit surprised that Steve didn't take more PERSONAL interest or steps to clear this man's name After The Test. Knowing that Mr. Wilkos was an Ex Cop IN CHI-TOWN, There wasn't an Offer for any Assistance, or maybe we just have to believe that He'll help them if they were to call for help🤷🏾‍♂️

The amount of people that this happened to before DNA & Tech Data was the main way to get evidence is despicable . He was young & impressionable & it should have went to trial bc the state would have LOST. The amount of young black men who were jailed & k*lled for something they didn’t do , if we actually kept track -the numbers are jaw dropping . This poor man 😢 I hope the show gave him some healing .
