I just put these tires on my commuter bike. They ride very smooth. I have used schwalbe marathon tires for years and love them. This is my first e plus. I am running them on a non e-bike and I love them.
These tires are perfect for commuting. They are amazing, smooth-riding, tough and care-free tires! I am glad that you are enjoying them. Thank you so much for commenting.
I had a pair of Schwalbe Energiser Plus tires which have exactly the same tread but a thinner layer of Indian latex rubber than the E Plus at 3 mm instead of 5 mm and it doesn't have the double layer of race guard layer. After 5000 km I decided to upgrade the back tire to the eplus. That eplus has now done 9600 kilometres.
Been riding mine for about ~2k miles now on a decently heavy ebike (Raleigh array 2021) and they've still got plenty of tread left, i've had a few punctures but usually only the big tube-totalling ones make it through, and that's even with slime-filled tubes! Either way, definitely worth the investment as with the stock tires i was going through inner tubes almost weekly at one point-
The only thing you have to watch out for with these is their grip in very wet conditions, i've had my bike slide out from me a few times e.g. when i hit water mid turn, or like in the video on my channel where my motor's torque kicked in at juuuust the wrong moment, although the latter *did* cause me to break my leg-
Thank you for commenting. I am happy that your set of Schwalbe are doing the job for you. After 2500 Kilometers, my tires look new actually. I have absolutely NO PLANS to replace them. They still ride perfectly and I trust them in almost all conditions. Keep riding.
excellent.. I love my Marathone tours.. but I wanted a higher rating. Do you know if there are any ECE-R75 rated tires that are 700Cx35? That rating is the top rating for all ebikes.. for weight, and speed rating. I've had my bike up to 53mph.. and holy cow.. I worry.. I saw splitting on my continental Ebike tires.. so back to schwalbe I go..
Hello. Thank you for your ideas. I don't know of any other tires rated higher in the 700 or 28 inch tire size. I know that the Schwalbe Marathon E Plus is rated at ECE-E_50 and I have had the bike up to 54 kph with perfect control.
I drove the tires 12,000km. Once flat at the back. But they are as hard and sluggish as solid rubber tires. Zero suspension comfort. I have now installed the Energizer Eplus. Way better. Size 50-622
Thank you for commenting. So you bought Energizer eplus tires? Interesting. Though I still love the Marathons, I will look up your new tires. Thank you for the information and for commenting.
700 miles is nothing. Schawabe are very expensive in the U.S. but seem good. I need tires that last extra long like 20,000 miles. No one makes great tires. I may try these.

@@paulfowler2502 Mine look near enough new too, here's to many more years of riding before we even have to *think* of replacing these tires!
Thank you! Many more miles of riding to you as well.
