    Chuckle, I can relate to the upside down pocket holes. I am not even filming but it seems I do silly things like that enough to keep me humble! Love your vids!

    HI Guys I have completely copied the build of this mitre station as I also fee it was the best and most solid of them all. Great job and thanks a million as I could not make up my mind what I wanted.

    A 4" back splash would be nice to stop bits and pieces from falling off the back. Once you get drawers in it's gonna be a pain in the neck to retrieve whatever falls back there.
    I have a similar set up except I did a level toe kick and open cabinets. I installed 1/2" plywood over the stud wall then scribed my worktop to it.
    Spriral downcut router bits are the bomb. Zero tear out.

    Hello Patriot. Your video has inspired me to build my own miter station almost exactly like yours. I need to ask you if you dimensioned your 2x4s for this build. They look straight and they are all the same color but I did see some manufacturing stamps on them which led me to believe you did not plane or square them up. How important is it that you plane and square up these 2x4s for this build? Thank you and keep up the great work. You made it look so easy - but I'm a beginner and I'm sure I will have a harder time than you did. Maybe not though - with your video to reference I should be okay. Thanks again.

    • @PatriotDIY
      @PatriotDIY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What is the purpose of the T-Track with regards to the miter saw?

    • @bon2198
      @bon2198 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A T-track on a miter saw station helps to hold things in place, which can improve the precision of the cut:
      Precision: A T-track can help you make precise cuts by holding the board in place against a stop.
      Repeatability: You can use a scale and stop to make multiple cuts of the same length.
      Support: A T-track can provide support for longer, heavier, or thicker materials.

    Nice video. Great work station. Did you start the measuring tape at 0 at the blade or at the edge of the table? Again great video. Thanks for sharing.

    Would like to get the plans, however I’d like to purchase the whole plans that include the drawers. Are you planning to put part two out or have I missed part two? Thanks, really like this style Miter station

    Can you share your pocket hole settings you used to attach the plywood top to the 2x4 rails? I find so many different opinions online. Thanks

    Disregard my ignorance, but why two sheets of plywood on top of each other?

    Curious to know why you made one side of the table 8 ft and the other 5 ft? I am about to build this same table (thank you!) but I was going to put the miter saw platform in the middle. Was there some reason you chose to offset it on yours? Thanks!!

      Just so I can support longer boards on the left side and I can make longer repeated cuts since there more room for the stop block on that side

    I've forgotten, but what is the metal channel inlaid on top? Is that used with stops?

      @@PatriotDIY I'm trying to build a miter bench myself. In a small shop. The barn needs a lot of work...

    Can I use a 3/4" mortising bit for the t-track? Instead of the Straight Bit?

      Seems like that would work
