We need this show back in 2024! I feel like people nowadays get so caught up in consumerism now with social media, I'm sure the average American's CC debt is 1000x worse now!

15 Years ago, I was $30k in credit card debt from Gambling and other addictive stuff. I decided to change my life around and paid off my entire debt. It took me several years to pay it off, but I'm now fully debt free and owe nothing to anyone. In the past 10 years, I've saved tens of Thousands of dollars. I don't buy things I don't need, only buy used. It's great being debt free and having money available and not having to worry about paying things off.

WOW! This young couple have a bright future ahead. I bet they smartened up! About activities to do that cost nothing; when our kids were young we took walks around the neighborhood and came back home for ice cream. I heard that some families in Toronto brought their families around the airport to look at the planes landing and taking off. It is a noisy activity and probably unhealthy but it is a show to look at the mechanical birds taking their flight. Public librairies have museum card that you can lend so you can visit a museum for free.

I only use credit cards for the rewards and to keep a good credit score. When I purchase anything on a card, I pay it the next day. Young ppl will start with CC’s to build their credit, too many will get into trouble with them. It should be used as a tool, not to supplement your income.

I work at a grocery store and its more so to do with customers taking advantage of the free food or drinks. At one point free coffee was provided (within reason) and some would come in with their own mug and get free coffee daily others would leave their paper cups all over the store. It's the fact that a select few mistreat the goodness of others costing it for everyone.

    • @ellasmith1822

Yes. TH-cam cuts out a lot of the scenes to minimize the screen time. In full episodes, couples always ask the same questions as you are and then Gail goes over, or has them go over, how she got there with interest based on their loan types.

I think immigrants are not as relaxed about spending as the locals. They usualy struggled in their home countries and trying to build a life. Among my relatives here is the USA we first generation immigrant rarely buy stuff that we don't have the money for it. However the thurd generation immigrant and above you will find that they ambraced the culture of credit card and spending money they didn't earn yet.
