Just joined the server a few days ago, sat in the dark for an hour and got killed in the first minute of combat. 10/10 would recommend
I logged in at 12pm the other day to make sure I got everything right, got brought down the river a bit in pitch black before we ran into a firing squad of VC that lights up the river taking everything out lol. 12 hours later after work I hop back on to finally get out to where the action is, same thing happens. Pitch black and we got lit up in practically the same spot I died before in xD

God I wish I had people to play with who had teamwork like this man. I haven't played squad in months because every time I play half the AT players miss their shots because they think it's like Call of Duty or my squad doesn't say a word the entire time. Even a small group of 5 guys can be devastating and take on 2x their amount of guys if they just simply communicate
Come to BF2 Project Reality if you want communication and teamwork
This server is open to join on arma 3 and the process is relatively easy. Arma isn’t too expensive of a game anymore since it’s a little older. I love getting new players in to karma company.
i bought arma3 on sell for 8 bucks and sogpf for another 7 or 8 bucks

Yo just a heads up for those who play on the karmakut liberation server. If you get information that KOG is active, don’t call it out over long range comms cause the entire platoon will freak.
These tactics were so devastating that future militants adopted the same techniques. There's a reason they made history.
I feel like you are going through the typical phase of the average ARMA player that has done the whole "DEVGRU Quadnods Gooning raid tactical spec op NATO lover" deal and at some point thinks "F-IT I'M TIERD OF THIS SPEC OPS SHIZ,I'M GOIN' FULL TALIBAN BAYBEE!!"

I think having a more unpredictable enemy is really cool and makes for a nice change.
WE learned really quickly to use the same tactics. The two stories always seem to be told separately when it comes to the cunning of both sides in that war. Probably because they were both so formidable.

Guerilla warfare is some of if not the most effective way to fight a war, but it comes at the cost of your civilian population as the enemy side will start looking for you in civilian areas and wrongly accuse civilians of being part of the gorillas, not to mention the enemy will get frustrated and shoot civilians or capture civilians and put them in camps
To fight an assymetrical war behind enemy lines*
You need ammo and weapons, not just people. Without industry you kinda cant do anything

i wonder how accurate this is vs real life. in my mind i always picture it different than this. more like the movies i guess. this is terrifying.

I wish The dlc had even more tight jungle vibes, with tall bushes vines and trees everywhere something like the footage you showed, or just any picture from those battles.. it is arma after all so I don't think they can manage do put in more than what kinda little they already have, but if an optimization ever happened, or whenever they plan arma 4 to come out, I hope it will become a true thing.

4:45 seriously? You can't even read grids correctly from the map and have to use dedicated button for that? Lol
He uses the button to get his position, then reads the map to mark it.
Since it's a public and pretty beginner friendly server, there is a feature to get your rough position (6 digit) every five minutes IRL time. There are no GPS systems except for one Artillery vehicle and the Helis.

is it ace or acre that once you go down you cant talk. maybe its the damage model, because it seems on some servers that no matter what kind of damage you take, you go unconscious. either way we are playing a game and when you go down you should be able to tell your buddies your down!

not about graphics its about gameplay. Either way arma 4 will be pretty good seeing how well Arma reforger is going
Also the mods - some of which i helped make a decade ago. The sog dlc is much nicer looking.

Karmakut. The us troops absolutely destroyed the nva and Vietcong in Vietnam. Their tactics did not work.
