Loolks like it was quite an event. The GM 8V92s and 71s sound the best imo. Back in the ‘80s they were the fast trucks going up the Hume, remember them well when the Hume was a whole lot different than nowadays. Some good videography there mate, not in vertical and zooming in and out at a rapid rate haha
G’day Kermie, Great video you captured the whole atmosphere beautifully well done. Any idea who runs that old skool Kenworth Big Bunk Aerodyne at the 2:00 minutes awesome & very unique with triple tanks down the sides something you don’t see everyday. That White Road Commander “ Fox “ I remember that White running Melbourne / Adelaide back in the early 90’s & now I see it at least once or twice a week in & out of the wharf. Great to see Stevie Kenworth T 401 at the 16:40 minute mark great bloke & occasionally stubbies for the company I work for. Blanch T 900 classic love the message on the back of his trailer year ago & now I have it on the back window of my Valiant with his approval “ Looking Cheap isn’t Cool & Looking Cool isn’t Cheap “ Great video thoroughly enjoyed it maybe next year for me. Cheers Louis Kats 👍
Is that the Pretty Sally road house. Do you know what engine is in the green b-model with the sleeper and bogie drop deck. In other videos it sounds more like a supercharged iron lung cummins than a mack. Check out Craig Johnson b-model mack.
Better than today. Back then there was a variety of colours and customisation, along with the sounds and smells. Now if it's not a fleet truck it's white. Miss the spider hubs as well. Born just in time to see these trucks get replaced. The Tline reminds me of the one dad drove. No flat tops any more either
@truckinwithkermie2755 Thank you kindly. If you've been in the Shepp area long enough, can you remember a T2670 owned by N&J Senior of Katandra West. It had an old fuelscoop on the roof. Cab was originally brown then they painted it white
Great video, reminds me of growing up in the 70s going in the truck with my dad

No, it wasn't Pretty Sally. Sorry Jake, but I'm not sure where I filmed that. But a reminder of days gone by.
