Truckin With Kermie
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 15 ม.ค. 2013
It's about trucks folks. Big trucks. Australian trucks and the people who drive or have driven them.
Koroit Truck Show 2025 - Walk Around
One of the early shows on thetruckinmg calendar year, Koroit is also one of the best, drawing oodles of classy trucks from Victoria, SA and Southern NSW.
With over $40,000 worth of trophies, cash and goods on offer, Koroit gives more back to the attending truck driver than any other show in the country (if you know of another that betters Koroit, let me know).
Always a great day, I'm already looking forward to 2026.
Hope you enjoy this Walk Around.

When Peter Max went looking for a better truck, his search led him to the United States and the Marmon Truck. Peter imported 22 Marmon’s before the company sold to Navistar who closed the brand down. This is Peter’s story and that of one of the trucks which lives on in the hands of Gavin Spence. Happy New Year 2025 & RIP Stuart Wood

In this montage I pay homage to the many trucks that I have had the privilege to photograph, and the drivers I have met over the journey. I also pay homage to Stuart Wood, leader of The GIANTS - Australia's best known unknown band, as Stuart called them. Stuart sadly passed away on Christmas Day, but his music shall live on. I spent many afternoons and evenings in the presence of this great ban...

Quick Chat Justin Burford
มุมมอง 990หลายเดือนก่อน
Iveco is not a name that conjures up a lot of desire for many truckies. But Justin Burford likes to think outside the square and the result is a really quite spectacular 1998 Powerstar 6500. Hard work - as you will hear - has resulted in a truck anyone would be proud to hop behind the wheel of. That’s got to be worth a Quick Chat.
Quick Chat - Cesare Colli
มุมมอง 1.3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Cesare, from Perth, brought his classic White Road Boss to Castlemaine Truck Show and walked away with three awards including 2nd in show. This is the second time he’s travelled east with the White, but having picked up a few stone chips on his last sojourn, he decided to piggyback it on his latest acquisition, a Kenworth T909. That’s excuse enough to have a Quick Chat.
Secret Men's Business 71: Sean Wood

Sean brought his 5 week old Kenworth T659 to the Castlemaine Truck Show. Custom built by Bruze Customs, the truck features a shower, coffee machine, Star Link, leather trimmed dash and a Pearl Craft steering wheel. And that’s just the interior. Then there’s Shingleback powder coating, a Chris Barron Bullbar, a Clare Valley Auto Icepack and much more. Rated at 131 ton on Hendrickson 4 bag, the t...
Secret Men's Business 70: Kade McLachlan
มุมมอง 3.1Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Kade McLachlan is a young bloke who fell in love with an International 2600 S-Line - with possibly the most polarising bull bar you will see. Sometimes when I interview people I have to work on getting them into the ‘groove’ of talking in front of camera. No such problems with Kade - a terrific bloke and the kind that the truck industry needs more of.
Castlemaine 2024: SATURDAY & SUNDAY WALK AROUND
มุมมอง 3.5Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Good weather. Bad weather. It doesn’t matter when it’s the Castlemaine Truck Show. Record truck attendance, record number of microfibre cloths. Great attendance as well. And the crowd didn’t care less about the intermittent Sunday rain. This year I’ve separated the Saturday from the Sunday so it’s more than likely you’ll see the same truck twice on occasion. Personally I’d call that double luck...

Castlemaine Truck Show 2024 - THE CONVOY
มุมมอง 2.6K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Rain, hail or shine. It doesn't stop the folks who have spent a week cleaning their trucks from joining in the truck convoy through Castlemaine and on to Campbells Creek Showground, where they continued to wipe the water off their trucks and continue to polish. Some may win a trophy - most will not. But that doesn't diminish anyone's effort in showing their truck in the best possible light. The...

These days, if your truck breaks down, in all likelihood, your choices are to sit and wait for a tow - or sit and wait for a tow. Like cars, trucks have become more and more sophisticated. In contrast, in ‘the good old days’ there was a chance you could do some repairs on the side of the road. Or at the Yarra Glen HCVC Truck show. It was here that I came across Ross Simpson with his head stuck ...

Cheers mate. Glad you liked it.
Respect to you for visiting Pissys grave Lizard hope RTA will name a truck after the Lizard
Very heavy trailers i have seen with 20 tonnes of dust on them that and they had just unloaded 150 big bullock's that is a massive load considering they were average 800kg these guys were the real deal the road's were the worst in the country
I might be 28, but watching trucks of this level is something else, from the rigids to the biggest stuff wow!!!!

Glad you liked it. 😊

Truckin life were absolutely woeful at record keeping. Old man drove a Western Star that featured. Call them up years later to ask if anything is available. LMFAO was the response. Felt like a dickhead giving them my money for 2 decades.
They've been through more owners than I've had hot breakfasts. Not surprised shitless got lost.
Is the one in Perth the blue cabover?
That is a slick rig!
The truck is a beauty but the video production is sh!t!!
@colinl9018 i did allude to that, as you may have noticed. Sorry you had to watch it.
Good on ya KERMIE
great lorry credit to owners
Good looking kw pity about the sound on the video .
@DavidHorne-n8i yeah. Dunno what went wrong there. At least your dulcet tones were loud and clear, Dave
Nicely done, looks Phat👍

Hey kenny what is you address l want meet you and have a chat that will be great
First time I’ve seen Peter Max since 1981 when he had Arvee Transport. He had a yard in Campellfield VIC and a shed at the old Sydney Haulage Terminal which was quite a hive of activity for interstaters back in the day. He was the first guy I subbied for when I bought my first Kenworth doing Melb - Sydney. At the time he had Louisvilles with 903s, a far cry from the Marmons. I saw a Marmon at the BP in Darwin a few weeks ago, probably the one he was talking about.
A bloke had one subbing to Toll about 2012 pulling tripples from Brisbane to Darwin
Ok never hear about such truck
Early 90s in the truck on school holidays and we were heading out to Dandenong on a Friday night to load. Got caught next to one of these in peak hour traffic. Oldman was talking to the bloke driving it. I liked it but the oldman was driving Barry Densley's Dominator so to me it was a shitbox 😂.
I used to get a magazine when I was young called "Overdrive" from America. They had these trucks in them. Sadly I gave my magazines to a man involved in a old vehicles club. So I will have to see iof he is still around. Rgds Greg
There was one sitting in a shed at Somersby. I had a Peterbilt at the time, and I ran with a bloke who had a Marmon. We swapped for a spell to try each other's chairs. I must say, I nearly swapped camps!! Beautiful thing to drive. I thought our LTL's had a big bonnet!! These were like a pool table. Thank you Pete for doing what you did. Shame corporate greed has no vision. Imagine these and Peterbilt now?Kenworth and Volvo wouldn't be happy 😄They are still stunning today. Great grab Kermie. Truck on. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛
Thanks for your story, mate. Good stuff. I'm surprised the brand has that much recognition.
Looks like one of basin's from Clermont his colours
I think the one I Clermont QLD has a 15 spd and a big cam. And new way rear end. Now owned by Stieer.

Bloody fantastic mate. Don't liketodays trucks especially european Cheers from Darwin
Ive still got the Truckin Life issue that had the blue one towing ascot trailers up the centre think it had an 1800 square millimetre radiator back then in the mid 90s love the video Kermie

@truckinwithkermie2755 can you do another video with Lizard Williams
You've seen my original interview with Lizard?
@truckinwithkermie2755 yep about 5 or 6 times
@@Grahame-zx9oo I run across him fairly often. I'll see what we can do.
Theres one in a paddock in beechworth vic
Aussie trucks were basic compared to marmon back then I remember when he started bringing these in at footscray I think. I wonder where all the others are now. Ya started with the cars kermie ...what back in 1922? Marmon have a huge history with cars and tank transporters all the way back to 1900 t think. HRX in Toowoomba bought most of the short wheelbase highway marmons from Peter and ran to Melbourne regularly....havent seen any of those since. Cool old trucks..
Seen one or one similar on the Sth Gippy fwy during the week ,think it had a Float hook up or a flat top.
They were well priced at the time
Fella by name of Mick Nugent was dealer in Adelaide sold few of em was at Burton fella at Pimba end up with 2 I think GOOD ON YA KERMIE
Cheers Ron. 😊
unreal 20 still going
Great story thank you
