  • Hi, I'm Milly and this is my vlog which is mainly about books I buy, books I read and the e-books I write.
This is one of my friend's favourite books so, of course, she loaned it to me. Such a touching story with some comic moments - as well as sad.

Love this book! I've listened to it twice on audible.

@@millysbookshelf2101 you’re right he writes a great ensemble cast of characters. Have you read anxious people by the same author?

It sounds quite a sad story . I have heard someone else talk about this book recently.

Maybe bitter sweet in places but I found the sense of friendship and community quite lovely

If you haven’t already read it, I recommend “And Every Morning The Way Home Gets Longer and Longer”. It’s not as witty as Anxious People or A Man Called Ove, it’s not witty at all really. It’s just a really touching, often times sad, short story that packs a punch. Of the 3 Backman books I’ve read, it’s my favourite 🙂

I don’t know that one - I picked up My Grandmother Sends Her Apologies in a second hand store a couple of weeks ago so will look out for The Way Home now. Thanks for the recommendation
