Hats off to Autodesk for them buying a terrible architectural BIM software product, making it expensive as hell, and still having it being widely adopted.

That's true! Reference Planes are very important to use in Revit especially making complex families and also doing the dimensions in 3D views. Nice clear tutorial!

Your`s videos Rocks! Congratulations on creating such practical and intuitive content! Even your English is super easy to understand (I am Spanish-speaking with not a very good level of English, but I still understand everything you say). Keep it up!

Nice explanation! I have also found reference planes useful in the project environment as objects for the Cut Geometry tool. For example, I commonly use a reference plane on each side of my wood roof trusses to cut their top chords so their eave edges are perpendicular to the ground.

omg! I was literally having trouble with the plane yesterday! I created a diagonal one but there's no way I can view it from any angles straight-on / perpendicular to the screen, it's always showing just dash line unless I use the 3D view which isn't helpful! I didn't know about the " Workplane Viewer" function (from 21:00)! I always seen it but never knew! hahah THANKS ALOT U SAVED ME :)

Thank you for your tutorial Balkan Architect. I would like to ask you only one question. Let's suppose i create in a generic model an extrusion. I saw that if i create a parameter e.g Length without locking the edges of a extrusion side on reference planes the parameter Length still works. You can increase and decrease it as you want. So what is the purpose of aligning and locking the edges on reference planes in order to create parameters?
