I STRONGLY dislike the Coach Tabby Backpack -- See why!

In this video, I go over my current woes with Coach. I found a couple of things that I do not like about the bags I have purchased and will be taking an extended break from purchasing bags from the brand. Let me know if you agree with any of it!

Hello. You need to buy some E6000 and it will work. Make sure once apply put something on it to clamp or hold down for awhile until dry. Can buy at any Joann's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or other stores

I love the zippy wallet in this color, or maybe the cardholder! I know that it is selling out quick though because it really is an amazing color. I wish I would’ve gotten something else in it.

@@Jorgelinas.Journey Thank you! We have similar tastes in handbags and SLGs! Those are the 2 SLGs I've been most considering. I have heard other content creators discuss the same clasp issues on similar bags. Coach needs to fix the issue. These are not $20 bags.
@@KindnessMatters_ I agree. They’re expensive and the bare minimum should be a functioning clasp.
Omg same, i have a love hate relationship with coach, right now its love older bags and not current bags, boutique vs outlet colors and styles, my favorite bags they keep discontinuing, my favorite style is actually the outlet style rowan satchel.
I really need to go vintage. I’m just so afraid because I’m not knowledgeable there and I know that fakes also exist. Thank you so much for watching! ❤

I have the backpack in black and mine has never stuck when trying to open. Some of the coach quilted tabby bags are faulty. The only problem I have is with the chain like you mentioned. To fix my issue with the chain I ordered these little clips for chains off of Amazon to keep it exactly how I want it when I wear it as a backpack so the chain doesn’t move around. After doing that I LOVE my backpack. My only complaint is it is smaller than it looks inside and I can’t fit a full size wallet.

hi, just move the pull down a touch to open and then I find it is fine when full. Though i find it holds a decent amount anyway. Same with the quilted tabby, both are lovely. if strap gets in the way - just tuck inside the bag first. hope this helps.

I notice it a bit more than I would a leather strap, but not in a way that’s a problem.
Awe man I hate that happened to your soft Tabby! I hate the backpack isn’t working out for you! They needed to put a leather shoulder strip! It’s why I sold my Coach Madison bags! Thanks for the update!

Valid points! My clasp doesn't stick and I have my straps clipped as I like the handheld option, but 100% the straps hurt like hell if you wear it as a backpack for more than 5 minutes. The quality has def taken a hit with them trying to keep up with demand, in my opinion. I sent a couple bags back that arrived damaged and/or used from boutiques.
Thank you so much for watching! I agree that quality has taken a huge hit and I am glad I am not being overly picky with the straps. Sometimes I blame myself, but I think in this case we are right! What do you use to clip your straps? I would love some tips so I can use this cutie without it being an issue on my shoulders haha.

@@Jorgelinas.Journey Hi sweet lady! This bag works great for her. She doesn't pack a whole lot and the bag stays very light in weight. I have tried it a couple of times, and used it as long shoulder bag and noticed how the leather strapping would have worked better if it could have been used on the shoulders and not just near the ends for the sizing holes.

Idk what the pink part is made off but if it's metal too the epoxy is going to work.
It's a 2 part glue you mix together (measurements depending on the instructions) and it should hold. 🤞

Aww 🥰 Jorgelina what a bummer I’m sorry it didn’t work out. It is a beautiful backpack the chain with the weight of the things you put in a backpack is why I didn’t get it. If it had a top handle it would be different. That’s a big reason why I didn’t buy it. Good luck on the fix. Fingers crossed. I also heard another content creator say to try a different store if you have another one close and maybe they would be more workable. 🤷🏻♀️ TFS 👛🛍️🙏🚢🦆

@@YosheaLux don’t do it! I did it and they send me a scratched bag. It was sealed and all but has a tiny scratch that show how paper thin the pink finish. I swear you could knick if with your credit card on accident.
I am doing a full review soon and I have had that same problem with the bag closure sticking!!! They should have put a leather strip where the bag lays on the shoulder. Great video Jorgelina!

Hmm thanks for video! It just confirms what I think - this type of chain straps are for small bags, nothing even a bit bigger as that will be too heavy!
Thanks for watching! I think you’re right, mini bags only. You put a tiny amount of weight and they’re so annoying.
I loved it except for the straps. I messed with them a bit before I took the tags off and decided I needed to get rid of it. They weren’t comfy like I hoped and I was sad because I LOVE the color and leather but for retail at over 500 after tax I just couldn’t keep it.

@@Jorgelinas.Journey I was about to but then decided if I just save that $500 and get an LV I’d be happier. Part of me wishes I kept it but I think for that price tag it’s a no. If it were to ever come down to half off I may repurchase. Idk thought if straps weren’t a chain I’d like a lot better

If you tuck the end of the drawstring under the little opening under the snap instead of having it off to the side like I see in your video ,you may find the magnetic snap will be easier to open. I now have 3 of these backpacks and never had a problem unsnapping the closure. Just a suggestion. As far as the chain goes none of mine ever go wonky like yours did. I’m not sure what is causing that. Personally I don’t find the chain uncomfortable at all. With all the summer festivals & bazaars, I’ve been using my backpacks non stop & for me the chain doesn’t bother me at all. I’m sorry you aren’t enjoying your bag. And i think it’s crazy for Coach to charge $300 for a small repair like that. 😮

I just received mine and it has a scratch! It’s going back but I’m not replacing it. The scratch revealed how thin the finish is and it’s super disappointing! I have a Tabby 33 that is under repair for faulty grommets, I think I have to take a break from their quilted leather until they figure out the quality issues. It’s a shame, I love the bag too but it’s too much money for a backpack to sit in my closet that I can’t actually wear. I also noticed the clasp is hard to take on and off- run people run.
@@RubyShoegame thanks for the validation! I agree that it’s too much money for it to just sit. I can’t return it as I used it and got it on Amazon and their return window is funky. @@Jorgelinas.Journey yes, I think Amazon only gives you 30 days buts it’s worth it ask and see if they or even coach (via product support) will offer you a return for store credit.
So sorry you are experiencing quality issues with Coach! I would also take a break :( and yes - you want bags that are versatile and don’t have to think about quality issues or worry about that kind of thing. It’s outrageous to me that companies know how much $ we are spending on these goods and cannot work with people on fixing them. Thanks for sharing! ❤

Oh no! I have a Soft Tabby as well, I hope that doesn't happen with mine. :/ That does not seem like normal wear and tear. The Dragonfruit color is lovely though. :)

A couple of my quilted tabby’s had the issue of sticking empty and when filled. It seems it finally loosened over time. Good luck with the backpack. I known that’s annoying.

Some of the soft tabby bags cost less than that on sale, so it seemed way too hefty of a price to do anything about it :/ I’m hoping my backpack clasp gets better over time too because it really is beautiful.
The soft tabby they needed to reforce the area around the tune lock, on the inside, it needs to distribute the weight of the magnetic, the glue is a temporary fix, the denim is too thin of a textile
Yeah 😢 $300 to fix that though seemed ludicrous given that the bag itself was about $400. I am bummed about it, but I won’t pay $300 to fix it 😢

I can't believe coach would charge $300 to fix the other purse you have.... it costs just as much as the bag in the first place 🙄
@@Millie_the_Mermaid exactly! The bag was $450. They said the entire bag needs to be taken apart in order to access the clasp. Just ridiculous. :/
