I want to add what you said about the product section. They need to punch the reprint button more times because really most of the cards that people needed are still not accessible to current or new players for certain decks they want to do a card that are needed would be expensive and no reprint to next to none or very little. Also, give us more premium stuff for the product as well. Bushiroad, start caring for our voices that would help make your game better. Honestly, I love Vanguard, and I want to play premium and standard, but the stuff we are having is making it harder for me to continue playing. There are decks that I want to do and make, but the products are expensive and have no reprints.
I absolutely agree with the accessory/mechanic overload. I stopped playing vanguard for a while due to personal reasons when they started releasing the stride deck sets, but I came back and they released energy chargers for standard, and a bloody 2nd quick shield ticket you can get for going 2nd in premium. If I want to play a format I need to bring a bloody tool box for all my accessories. Energy chargers, crests, ride deck, main deck, stride deck, dice, playmat, that foesnt include my trades if I have enough room in my bag to fit multiple decks to play with at locals or even an event. I dont want to have to bring my whole bloody bedroom with me to play 1 format.
34:49 When Vanguard Zero was announced, I wanted it to be like Duel Links, where cards were released in a different order and created a new meta. It was, at least, like Alchemy, and they buffed terrible cards to make them more playable. They could combine them and have Dear Days have their own format where they could experiment.
I know premium players that only play one or two clans. With the 3 month release gap sometimes they KNOW there is no new product for them in almost 6 months.
31:49 I feel like Dear Days would be an entirely acceptable product if we had a live service game. All the other card games complain about not having a proper story mode in their simulators, but Dear Days does have a great story mode and no microtransactions.
Gonna be the cynical one here, almost nothing suggested here will likely be implemented. Despite how awesome all of these ideas are, Bushiroad has barely indicated to its global audience that it values their opinions and takes their feedback seriously. With a lack of consistent events, set delays, slow banlists, no indication of Premium-specific support, they don't seem to understand how to cater to the global market for Vanguard. I don't understand why they can't come up with a tailored strategy for the global scene, especially when almost everyone has literally pointed out specifically what they need to do.
Great video man! Yes it's called Catch 22. It would be great to see more support for the locals scene. Playing in Vanguard Day and Shop Challenges at local shops has brought excitement to play before regionals. An amazing reprint set for English Premium would be awesome.
18:03 One Piece does this so damn well; they make some important cards into alt arts for participation in shop tourneys or major ones, while us over here get some pretty useless cards for promos like Eclipsed Moonlight or Shadow Army Tokens (I can't really remember because they've been useless). IIRC Spiral Cutie Angel and Brainwash, and Yuika was for the Vanguard Participation and Free Fight for this year's spring fest which was super awesome a good step in the right direction but two steps back after more useless promos were announce LOL but seriously how come we can't get decent reprint promos of recent generics for shop tournaments? Give them alternate art or nice foiling or something! Wouldn't it be cool for October that it was just reprint promos of Sea Strike Dragon, Enlargulv and Conceited Noble, Philander, or the Jeweled Beast's cards? Hell, maybe even more Elementaria Sanctitude.
@@senjo8169even if they did they have a huge line of other decks that don't get supported, like Ominagruzio, griphogila, tamayura. And they need actual quality support not one good-decent card, one eh card, and then one card they won't even run. But I was more talking about a video (I guess around a year ago) DF did where he remarked that the getting new ridelines was a good thing when we had less then we do now and still had the same problem (but vanguard always seems to have that issue)
I addressed your comment on my stream already last night, but my statement regarding new ride lines being important in every set for new players to have a deck to build right from the set was applicable because 2 years ago (when I'm pretty sure that statement was made, if you're referring to the "are there too many ride lines" video) it was still applicable, and we had a fair share of relevant starter product. Now, they've completely tunnelled in on ONLY introducing new ride lines through sets instead of using entry product starter decks to introduce them and give players a much easier way to get into the game, and releasing those regularly instead. Bushiroad has to keep up with its competitors, who are constantly putting out amazing entry product with great staple reprints, and these would be a much better way to introduce these new decks (or revamp old ones with new ride lines) while giving new players a go-to product to buy as well. I don't think my opinion at the time was necessarily wrong since it was barely over 1 year into the D era, but the times have changed and so have the needs now. I think if you're gonna latch onto my opinions and raise them up in arguments, at the very least I'd ask that you keep up to date with what I have to say.
@@DifferentFight to start off I would like to apologize if what I said in mostly jest at this point rubbed you the wrong way. I don't disagree that new ridelines are a nice thing (even good) the issue CFV has had or at least in my opinion the issue they have had is that they seem to keep throwing out more and more new ridelines and this leaves the older ones except for MC decks, their personal favorites, or fan favorites in an extremely rough spot. I would also agree that at that time they were doing better about having entry level products (i loved the start decks at the start of D era, it was a good start that i was excited to seem them move forward with), the issue (for me) was back in July 2022 we already had 34 ridelines that were known about at the time (don't think we knew about lyrical 3 at that time since we were on set 6 reveals still), even removing the lyrical ridelines that was 26 different decks that were not all equal or even close to similar in power. It felt like it was going against some of the changes they did going into d era, yes every, "5 great nation" is getting support but not in a way that actually worked and a little over a year we had 26 different decks in comparison to the 24 clans they couldn't support every year (which is different than clans, though generally the flavor of the support was the same). And maybe its not totally fair to compare D era to OG vanguard in that way, but, at that time this is what we had and part of their logic about wiping the game for a second time so it's what I at least felt. I agree that vanguard does very much need to keep up with their competitors and that new starter decks are a key to that role, be it to introduce new ridelines or show love to older ones that have fallen out of the spotlight or never necessarily had time in the spotlight. I was very disheartened with the quick start decks despite very much wanting to go to bat for them, I'm also very excited for the Vyrgilla deck and that his support will not be locked behind promos which the west has issues getting (circle back to wiping the game, etc. etc.) I think there are several ways bushiroad could start to gain some ground back, many of which have been discussed by content creators like you and fans, (an official sim instead of a 70 dollar game that people have issues with, more reprints of cards that actually need it, better introductory and mid range products, clarity with the players on bans and restrictions, less of these .. honestly terrible pack filler cards, getting the releaeses if not simultaneous at least closer together, listneing to fans and content creators) Again, i apologize if what i said upset you and you are correct that I should keep up with opinions of those i would comment on even in a joking manner. As two closing questions, i had on my rambling response, opinion on the current state of vanguards field (i feel it has become overly cluttered with the addition of energy cards so it makes viewing a less enjoyable experience), second thoughts on changing how alestiel's wing system works? (i.e. changing it from being a binded cards, which can now be interacted with, to its own "zone"). Thank you in advance for taking time out of your day.
@@C_SlothYou’re good don’t worry, I’ve just encountered people using things I’ve said in the past to push their arguments when my opinions change over time so I tend to just say it generally for anyone reading this as well I think one of the things Bushi should keep in mind that while it’s great that the DivineZ anime has been pivotal in growing the game, they should be fully committing to that as an entry point; let next year’s starter decks just be the Fated Ones with important reprints if the characters stick around, or if for example they reintroduce old cast then instead of putting their new ride lines and supports in a set, use that opportunity to turn them into a starter for each nation in similar design to the Vyrgilia starter deck
16:29 They should move towards simultaneous releases, honestly. It would even be better for them since we wouldn’t know which cards are good and would buy bad cards at a premium.
If Chinese or Thai Bushi can do unique things like special crossovers and different preconstructed decks, I think English Bushi should be able to deviate from JP Bushi especially since those cards have to be shipped so much farther than the JP cards do. Starter decks for meta decks that reprint all the grossly priced cards would probably sell a lot better than Triple Drive Booster. If they want to include a new card or Regalis Piece, each deck should get it. Keep the generic cards the same across the board or include them in a "bonus pack" but giving people a full built Eva deck or a full built Drajeweled deck even if they're not foil but it's all playable out of box for a fraction of the cost.
This is what I get for commenting mid-video. I would hate for Standard Vanguard to get too skills focused to the detriment of the entire trigger mechanic. If Premium could have that skill depth with new support for it, that might make it easier cuz the skill depth folks would have somewhere to go. I love Vanguard for the game not being over until the last damage. I got my OT in Brandt Gate to put my opponent to 5 but the crit they got 2 turns later when I had no shield did me in and I lost despite ripping an offensive OT. I guess I broke the mold or suck because I couldn't win with OT. In short, the triggers are a big reason why I play Vanguard. Im going to say this also. I think we have more ridelines to support now than archtypes within the old clan system. Just in general I miss clans. I don't like the new nation system. It also created a very yugioh-like problem of needing to buy generic staples for your nation in order to play. On one hand having generoc value is good for sellers, but it can price out literally a whole nation of ridelines from being optimal builds, and I personally think that's lame. I quit ygo because of the cycle of expensive staples. I liked being able to buy my clan cards and then be good for awhile.
Tournaments handing out free goodies. Promos, playmats, deck boxes or even collectible pins would be amazing. Standard needs more than just go and play said game. Also dear days should be at least 3-4 months behind and have either cheap dlc or free. The cost is too much. You can buy a base deck for that price.
Bushi needs to lock in and make more reprints, better products, and prize support instead of the same playmats, a lame energy card with characters I don’t care about, and a promo that sucks. They really don’t need to be like Konami

Even on JP switch shop, it was 50ish USD, and 30-40ish in Brazil, Mexico and/or Columbia Switch Shops.

Cardshops in america want one piece yugioh prices with and vanguard isn't that type of game.
Are you a botonist ? Dope hat
Reboot the game a third time and maybe it will thrive.
I sometimes dream V never happened
V was great for the game
@@kittycat2983 V completely broke the game, had a shit anime, which did not help popularize the game, and brought so much power creep G decks became irrelevant
@@_____Shadow_____ V brought consistent support that was decently priced, more balance than OG/G vanguard, unique game mechanics and strategies for cards/decks, and expanded the player base. A lot of people try to have this revisionist approach to V but it had more good things going for it than bad. It wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but neither was OG, G, or D.
@@kittycat2983 V cards original? You mean attack with VG and stand rear?
@@kittycat2983 V fucked over so many unique mechanics, consistent support? Not like any of it mattered if in the next set it would become irrelevant
