I bet no one knows this. Mario really can sense Luigi and vice versa. In Yoshi Island, the narrator states Mario shares a telepathy bond with Lou. And in the Mario & Luigi games, they do puzzles simultaneously, even though they aren't near each other.
This is actually canon because in Yoshi's Island, Baby Mario can sense where Baby Luigi is, allowing the Yoshis to track down Kamek

I love how Peach is there for emotional support. She’s just as sweet as she is a badass.
Now this I feel should have been in the movie. That way it added a sense of realism as twins can often sense if the other is in trouble or hurt
Beautiful job. I felt Mario's pain. I heard the quiver of sadness in your voice and it really hit the feels. This is exactly why I don't get when "fans" try to "ship" Luigi with that monster Bowser. This comic accurately shows how evil Bowser is and the suffering poor Luigi is having to endure. It also makes sense that Mario can sense and feel the pain. Twin telepathy is more real than people realize.

Completely agree on the shipping thing. It's messed up. He TORTURED Luigi. Screw enemies to lovers. It's a horrible trope IMO. Because that's why people ship it. Because it's gay and enemies to lovers. And Bowser is Peachsexual so...

Now something i noticed is a bit of continuity is that (spoilers for the movie) Peach,Toad and Mario arrive at the Jungle Kingdom and shes in her normal state, should she be in her fire form?

I just found out that Mario and Luigi are fraternal twins a few days ago. Now it makes so much sense why they're so close.
What's a fraternal twin?
Fraternal twins have at least one if not more physical differences from each other, meaning they are not identical

Whereas fraternal twins are two separate eggs that fertilize in the womb, these twins can look/ have similar features to absolutely looking nothing alike. Even if they are the same gender, like Mario and Luigi.
Fraternal twins can also be one boy and one girl, like Scarlett and Hunter Johansson.
Despite that, fraternal twins are still twins.
Interesting. Well, I just learned something new about twin genetics.
They *could* be identical - although I’m sure canon states otherwise - even though Mario is shorter. Sometimes one twin in the womb gets more of the nutrients than the other, which can stunt the malnourished twin’s growth. Probably the wiki says they’re fraternal, but this is just my take on it.
Some people actually have a biochemical sense of connection. They can sense disturbed situations and act by gut instinct. It’s real.

My main gripe with the movie was that it didn’t have moments like this. I loved the movie but I think it does suffer from being an overall basic story. If it had moments like this, it would be a much more emotional story. I know Nintendo and Illumination probably didn’t want to focus too much on making it emotional since the Mario franchise isn’t really dependent on story in general, but I think if the movie had more moments like this, it could have been a great, emotional story without losing the basic fun and charm that the movie already has.
Also can I just say that I love that Mario impression? That’s gotta be one of the best ones I’ve ever heard. Whoever did that voice did a great job making what’s usually a very happy and cartoony voice sound genuinely upset and serious. Fantastic work.

@@gsb300 Nah, i reckon Charles Martinet would've figured out how to make it work. I'm just saying this comic dub would be more faithful to the movie, if the characters sounded more like how they were in it.
@@gsb300 But voice actors can tone down their voice for their characters if they want. Plus, there's been a few occasions where he's spoken in full sentences as Mario.
