The fact that this can only played in 144p makes this so much better than it already is!
Psychedelic Rock is one of the best genres
+Wolfer the Hawkeye Fuck ya!
+Wolfer the Hawkeye wohohooo tranquilo viejo...

This continues to be my favorite Tame Impala song. Slow rush is amazing, currents and innerspeaker are masterpieces, but I always find myself coming back to this song. Kevin sounds amazing live and the production of his concerts is insane.
My thoughts exactly.
you forgot lonerism
Why would you leave out his best album lmao
Mate you forgot Lonerism
I just discovered these guys a few minutes ago. I'm a 56 year old Prog Rock guitarist and Yes disciple. This band is awesome. This is so groovy, creative, both original and retro. Reminds me a little of early Floyd or Syd Barret on "The Madcap Laughs." I guess it's the brainchild of one guy, Kevin Parker. I think my faith in modern music has been restored.
+Smedley Butler Jr. Ditto. There are some very talented modern bands out there. Coming from a fellow Yes enthusiast :)
+Smedley Butler Jr. They changed their sound from Rock to Pop actually, it's a shame.
its Nice to know someone likes tame impala music. keep going big guy.
+Brunii! Yeah but the overall vibe hasn't changed. Their recent songs are even better than the older ones. Currents is amazing.
+Skj Skj I wouldn't say "better"
But I agree with you, Currents is pure perfection.

People who complain about "music today" are failing to perceive that the billboard top 100 songs are only 100 songs. The tip of an infinitely deep iceberg of potentially great music put there today. With the proper motivation to go explore and find something you enjoy--something rich, personal, and moving--there's nothing stopping you from staking out some new, popularly unheard of stuff and spreading the love to your musically challenged friends and family.
"musically challenged" 😭
From the description:
Half Full Glass Of Wine is the type of song you come across rarely with it's half speed, double riffing magic. Kevins vocals float through the air like a magic carpet ride through an aural wonderland, the guitars dual each other in a call and response frenzy, which all leads up to a beast of a solo that holds you by the soul galloping away in oblivion.
I like this description.

Finally something from my generation that has actual grit, and rawness
I remember psychedelic rock the first time round when I was a young kid in the late 60's. The original stuff was so good that I knew the genre would come back again someday in one form or another. Well, this is as close to the old school psychedelic stuff as one can get and I love it!
The love for Tame Impala will be always infinite, love you my man love from 2025
I absolutely love it when Kevin uses vibrato. such nostalgia for a time I wasn't even alive during
if this isn't the smoothest intro to a song, I don't know what is
The best thing to come out of Australia
Im amazed that hes gone from this to the slow rush, kudos to you Mr Impala
To me this is as good as Tame Impala gets it just got way to pop after innerspeaker
Honestly I love Slow Rush, but I loved Innerspeaker and Liberian. I thought Currents was too poppy...
This man can do no wrong. I've absolutely enjoyed his entire journey from this EP to The Slow Rush! What a genius!
@@sumtin05698 elephant isnt too pop i think after lonerism it got too pop
@Fortnite Family FunYT I agree that elephant isn’t pop and I love the use of what I assume is fuzz on it but other parts of lonerism including songs I do like like feels like we only go backwards is very pop

you know its a crazy song when the video was posted before the channel even existed
My friend told me to look up Tame Impala. I had no clue what I was looking up. Now I like this band a lot.
One day I listened to this song while driving past my former elementary school. The drum solo at the end made me wish I heard it when I was 10. Incredible.
The final breath before the plunge.... we need more bands like this🤘
Ironically, I’m a major tame impala fan but I’ve been working my way backwards. (Feels like we only go backwards baby) I started my love for tame listening to currents and how well it was produced, from every small detail to the mix of different genres and raw emotion. It’s a beautiful album and I personally prefer a more produced sound, which is where my love of currents resonates. New person same old mistakes is also undoubtedly one of the greatest songs ever written and one of the most underrated songs ever. But making my way back to his earlier days I resonate deeply with a lot of what he’s going through, and his authenticity makes the song more entrancing. I like to think I’m a 2015 emotionally evolved Kevin, but sometimes I’m the 2008 emotionally worn Kevin who’s just working on holding my own hand. I love you Kev and thank you for reminding us we’re all not alone
Not my favorite by I think the best sounding tame impala song is music to walk home by like the lyrics and the composition of the different (I think they are chorus’s I’m not familiar with music terminology) and now the mix into each other
Good for you, anyway you dig it works. I started with Kevin and his music from the beginning (can't remember how I found them back then) and enjoyed everything until Currents. My nephews, who are 30 years younger than me, and I just couldn't grasp Currents for over 6 months. After that the light switched on for all of us and wham! Currents is also a masterpiece. I'm glad we stuck to it to get to the other side, it was well worth it
thank god i've been blessed with a patient mind!!
Tame Impala is the best representation of rock in the 2010's-2020's.
this has a Beatles Rubber Soul/Revolver feel to it.
just getting into Tame Impala, they've got variety.
I was thinking more in the line of Cream
@@mrkroeger the instrumentals remind me of cream but the vocals remind me of the Beatles
This sounds like 70s Queen mix with the Beatles

I thank god I've been fortunate enough to see this band live so talented
same. its an experience i'll never forget. the second they walked out on the stage... man it was surreal.
Same. Seen them in Amsterdam. What a fucking treat that was.
I like the way the guitar in this song is reminiscent of Blue Cheer. The original psychedelic era was too short-lived so it's good to hear songs like this that recapture the essence of the classic psychedelic bands.
This song is as fresh today as when I first heard it well over a decade ago.
The only Tame Impala song where Kevin doesn't sound like John Lennon
yeah sounds like Ringo Starr!
skeaneable Nah, more like a Harrison
Or maybe he isn’t a Beatles member and could more accurately be compared to Led Zeppelin if anything.
Chris Fonseca Maybe the music, but his voice sounds like a beatle
Sounds like if Ringo's voice and Harrison's voice had a kid in this song lol
the live version of this song is INSANE! the live 2014 album is good.
Agreed, have the LP regularly on my turntable.
Wish I could go back and rewatch them become big. Its been such a good ride seeing all the different stuff Kevin can create. Never been disappointed with a thing he's released.
Never thought I'd say this, but man, that 240p actually makes the song awesomer.
i just like your profile photo
It's actually 144p lol. Seriously, go have a look-see.
chuckobscure Haha that's weird. It was 240p a bunch of weeks a go.
Eso mismo pensaba
chuckobscure there's two 144ps
Oh internet.
I stumbled across this band by complete and utter chance the other day. I ended up clicking a youtube link to the Mind Mischief video, and needless to say, I got their albums straight after. Now I have tickets to their gig in June.
True story.
A couple of weeks ago my gf bought her first car from a dealership and drove a zip car there. I was on almost no sleep bc I closed a bar the night prior, I had to drive the zip car back and I got locked up in traffic heading through Boston this came on. It was the first time in ages I drove through Braintree to Somerville. I had the windows down and BLASTED this, and it came on randomly,
estaba en acido cuando escuche este tema por primera vez, y cuando el riff de la guitarra se hizo lento senti que todo el mundo se habia hecho lo mismo, fue alucinante, lo mejor de lo mejor, un manjars 👌
Jajajaja comprendo esa sensacion hermano.
A mi me paso lo mismo pero con marihuana jajajajaja
Drogos
Esa es la gracia estar enpepado o ácido la mejor banda do la historia

Thanks to god you guys exist i mean the music, thank you
hall full glass ... should be considered as the best independent rock song in the last 10 years!
Props to the animator and / or the director.
Riff has the best part of Creams discography lodged in it
BEST DRUM SOLO EVER YOU GOTTA RESPECT THIS FUCKING DRUM AT THE END FUCKIN RESPECT THAT.
this sounds so much like sunshine of your love from cream. nice source of inspiration.
Everyone should exact their own revenge- at least once in their lifetime. It's liberating.
People who are salty that his sound has changed to be poppier need to relax. People change, their tastes change, the music changes, Kevin even wrote a song about it. And it was pretty damn good. Listen to the lyrics of these songs, one thing that hasn't changed is that Kevin is an amazing songwriter and performer and he pours his heart and soul into everything he does.
What song was it?
@@tdc455 "Yes, I'm Changing." Lol, the title sort of says it all. It might actually be about a breakup, but my interpretation is also that he's generally changing as a person.
that end drum solo is so killer lmao
It has that Kieth Moon flava
That guitar riff cures my soul!
OMG!!! The perfect CREAM - TRIBUTE - SONG!!!!!
Martin Berger wow now that i think about it it sounds pretty CREAMy haha

Half Full Glass of Cream (get it?) Never thought I'd see the revival of 60s psychedelia, but these guys have the right idea and some amazing songs.
You mean 'this' guy? It's all in Kevin Parker's mind.
It's hilarious how many people think there is more than one band member. He only needs help to play live shows. studio work is all him, on every instrument!
I'm sitting here drinking my mid afternoon glass of wine bumping this shit feeling relaxed and pumped simultaneously. Love it.
esta musica es lo mejor que hay aguante tame impala !!!!
You my friend, are in for a treat! They are excellent live. I already have my tickets for their festival hall show and Groovin the Moo
I love all 4 pixels of this video
God I love the ending of this song
I love it too
The guitar and drum solo at the end!
I watched this in full screen and another time zoomed out to 25% and its like I've watched 2 different video's.
so also 144p is a hipster thing then
HAHA
Makes me feel like an untame impala
srsly wtf.
less waste of energy, maybe
entropy increase is inevitable, you cannot resist.
I think Tame Impala is one of the greatest psychedelic Rockband since Pink Floyd!
Henry Lewis I'm just gonna go ahead and mention cream
totally true! Cream is also one great band from the psychedelic genre. But Cream was active at the same time as Pink floyd and I meant more that tame impala is nowadays one of the best psychedelic rockbands since that hippie era. But yeah, unfortunately, today there aren't very much other psychedelic rockbands that I know. Do you know some?
yeah man I agree this band is fucking groovy man! rocking and chilling at the same time! Peace dude!
agreed! i was saying this one of those days, this song is so pre-Dark Side of The Moon's Pink Floyd. reminder me Saucerful of Secrets so much (The Album)

sin duda unas de las mejores canciones de tame impala, y el vídeo ni que decir es una ¡obra maestra!
That’s what it feels like to be infinitely patient nothing ever gets done and the people that held you liable for those things that you most certainly forgot about, notice.
Clapton's guitar sound in Cream!
+Martin Dobranský it's fuzz effect
Yeah. I know..
+Martin Dobranský how do I get that sound? Tele + fuzz? (doesn't kevin use a danelectro or rickenbacker?)
+Pedro Figueiredo I think that it doesn't really matter. Both has singles, so just play a little with the tone and fuzz level...
+Pedro Figueiredo I think its the neck pickup with the tone rolled all the way off
still speechless to this day 😮🎉
Kevin’s voice is so comforting to me
No paro de escucharlos!Me gustan mucho TODOS los temas! Ya me compré "Innerspeaker" y "Lonerism".Hace unos días los vi en vivo.Amo escucharlos.Gracias

Queens of the stone age + the beatles = this song
Clear Disraeli gears era cream influence. Absolutely love it.
144p. So we meet again
Last time must have been using windows 95 maybe?
Well at least we have a video.

I had such a great memories of high school with this song
Za mene ste otkrili jedan sasvim drugi svijet, kojemu ni ne pripadam, ali ga svejedno obožavam gledat sa strane ;)
I totally dig this song. Brings me back to a good place, and that place is called The Beatles.
I never realised how many artistic references there are in this clip!, Visually I see Pink Floyd art work (the fly's especially, well that's Syd's album cover), Magrit, The Beatles references (the walrus's), and a few others. Really cool.
Suki Marek hell yeah! Beatles references are always great. Beatles references in a song? Yes! Beatles references in a song of the same genre as the late Beatles? Fucking yeah!
The quality of this music video is amazing
This has some Cream vibes ;)
Did you try to render in 1440 and miss the 0?
