  • Chris Warren from Wesco addressing the Rose Anvil review.
This video was taken from the Wesco Facebook group which was later shut down.
It is well known that the Rose Anvil channel charges approximately $20,000 per video.
Some believe brands that won't pay to have a video made suffer negative reviews.
There is no proof of this other than what we see on this channel.

Having had Wescos, Nicks, Whites and other PNW boots I will say the The Wescos are equally bombproof to the others. I have really appreciated the custom fit from Wesco I just wish the wait was shorter...currently have my 7th pair of Wesco on order as well as 4th pair of Nicks. You really can't go wrong and I appreciate the the information from a long time employee. Thanks!

I’ve worn Wesco boots Since 1982, Job Master regular toe in black, had one pair resoled probably 5-6 times. Working in the timber industry. Been a commercial HVAC tech since 1993. Have a 75th anniversary lace to toe in redwood that are almost brand new, tried to wear them for first time in 25 years, think my feet have gotten bigger. Just about to buy another pair of black regular toe job masters in black

I have seen the video you are responding to. I love your transparency. Currently have a pair of green shop Vancouver engineers on wait. When those come in i will look into some morrisons. I did a custom build sheet.

5 months and no comments? I'm east of Portland, and know a bunch of people with Wescos doing heavy work. I've never heard anyone say anything bad about them - including price. "You get what you pay for."

Wesco caulk boots have been a favorite here in WA for a reason, just bought another pair today.

Having had three pairs of Wescos, I would never have thought that 'cardboard' was used! It's obvious to all and sunder that it's laminates of leather.

It's a shame that you got some bad comments because I watched the rose anvil video and I never got the impression that Wesco was making substandard boots. I actually pretty interested in buying a pair of your boots because of the video. The nail didn't concern me to much as I have had that issue before and the company i bought them from corrected the issue quickly. Customer service is key and if you provide me with the best service you can give I will be happy. Some people will just trash companies because it gives them a feeling of superiority.

I look at rose anvil for entertainment simply because it’s cool to see boots cut in half, I’ve had some Wesco highliners and job masters and I loved them. The only reason I haven’t ordered another pair recently is due to the lead times. I understand that handmade boots take time and Wesco will always have a place in my heart.

I've been wearing my wesco jobmasters for almost ten years now, and they're still holding up great. Most other boots get trashed in 1-2 years at my work. You guys make a solid product with great service.
I noticed in the rose anvil review that he was talking a lot about work boots and how these hold up compared to other PNW work boots... but didn't actually review one of wesco's work boots! It's apples to oranges comparing a work-styled fashion boot to something built specifically for rough work.

Weston Kay is paid to promote products. He does that by discrediting the competitors. One week he disparages the Alden Indy Boot. The next week he is selling the HuckBerry knockoff moc toe. He also gave negative views on Allen Edmonds and Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots. Then he promotes Rock Rooster.

Got my first set of Wesco boots in 1972 lase to toe 16in line boots, you had to order them at Montgomery Ward cost 60.00 dollars wore them for years they had green soles, Now seems like all boot makers put the soles on that get full of dirt To old now but if I was younger would buy another pair.

I listened to this video and I can hear the pain in your voice. The boot reviewed was a Special Edition or a Collaboration plus used different materials than your standard work boots as I understood the Rose Anvil video? There is nothing wrong with using heavy machinery to build a high quality boot.
QC seemed a little off for the price. Leather could be confused with cardboard as leather and fiberboard are types of FIBER materials. Maybe one of the leather stacks was softer for some unknown reason and Rose Anvil thought it was not leather.
Wesco is legend as a boot maker in with the big 3 PAC-NW Boot makers and that is why the Rose Anvil video was shocking to anyone that wears boot and knows the major companies.
Rose Anvil has shredded some really poor boots out there. Carhartt, Doc Martins, some Amazon brands, Alden, and a few Australian boot makers. I would tend to agree with those bad reviews.
I am not going to chew you out because I hear the concern in your voice and you do care about your product.
Have you reached out to Anvil to test your standard Work Boot and not some Special Edition he picked up? Explained the materials and what goes into your boot? If so did he even get back with you or ignore you?
I do not think he was picking on you and I do not believe you put out a shoddy product. I just hope it does not hurt your business and some minor things get worked out. Lord knows we do not want another American business torn down or moved overseas. You have a loyal customer base that knows your product.

It's obvious what happened. Weston Kay is paid by other brands to promote their products, and he does that by discrediting the competitors. How else is he going to sell Rock Rooster, and his collaboration deals?

Thanks for being so level headed when your product was misrepresented. This is how companies should address such issues.

While shilling Thursday Boots, HuckBerry , and Rock Rooster. This was obviously an attempt to remove a competitor. He's trying to sell a.collaboration boot that he gets paid for.
