Being able to see your line makes complete sense. Professional bass anglers have been using white and a high vis yellow and seem to do quite well. They also use a leader to hide the lure, no different than what Flip is talking about. I have an WF7F orange line from Courtland and absolutely love it.
They now make the Flip line in a 5wt! Problem solved! Feel free to call the shop and discuss as well....always the best way to get the right line for your rod and what you are doing. Thanks!

Super rad vid. Fly line plays such a big roll in bagging monsters, but you can’t tell me flip can’t just feel out what to do… man is an absolute animal.
I agree that a dark olive line will be very visible to the fish in window but outside of the window the fish will not see the sky, just a mirror of the bottom. If you have a lot of vegetation on the bottom, I guess that a olive line will be less visible to the fish than bright colors. The late Gary La Fontaine designed olive lines for Teeny and he also knew a few things about fly fishing.

Is this a good line for a beginner as well? Heading to bahamas in February. Not the best at distance casting yet.
