My Permaculture Teacher came to visit my Inner-Sydney Permaculture fairyland, and loved the self-watering, self-draining 'garden' we custom-made to fit my shower.
We improvised with Magazine holders from Muji, cut-up plastic bottles to keep the soil from the water reservoir, and string, to carry water up to the plants in the soil.
It fits perfectly in the self by the bath, the orchids and maidenhair love the humidity, and we can swap them around to get some sunbathing in the windowsill, so its a whole happy ecosystem
