- Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s Mendeecees Harris revealed love wasn’t a factor in him staying in his marriage to Yandy Smith-Harris.
In the April 2 episode of LHHA (Season 11, Episode 26: “Sassing Through the Snow”), Yandy went to Canada with the group (sans Mendeecees). At a point in the trip, Yandy, 42, FaceTimed her hubby, talking about the cold weather and how much she missed him. However, Mendeecees, 45, wasn’t in the mood to sweet talk and told his wife he wanted a serious sit-down with her when she returned.

Basically, while he was in the slammer she held him down and he was fine with that while he was in the jail but the minute he comes out, he wants her to go back to the wife position and given back the power, he had prior to going to jail and I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t want to give him back power she had while he was in jail. She don’t want to be like that when he was in jail, always grinding always trying to get that next couple book you know make sure her bills were paid because Lord knows she don’t put another baby in somebody else’s belly and that she’s gonna have to take care of because he was unfaithful to her. Why does she think she’s gonna be faithful now so she’s kind of probably just you know seeing how he do before she make a decision on giving him back she right now. He probably gave her some so she can actually deal with the businesses. He was actually dealing with prior, so that was some money in his absence so of course, probably a lot of stuff got put on a wayside on her personal and her professional things she wanted to do and he when he came out now it was time for her to kinda you know do a little stuff that you know she wanted to do and think she wanted to accomplish personally that she had to put on the wayside because she had to deal with his stuff

I'm reading the comments and I feel people are bringing up things that a couples made a commitment to do. The real issue is Yandy is moving like she is a single person. She makes decisions that should clearly be made as a couple. When you take those vows you become one not you and I. I do agree they need to pray and ask God for guidance. I'm inclined to agree with this comment. If she wants to stay married, then she has to let go of her thoughts about the past. Meaning, yes she held him down when he was away....which helped keep them together, but that's what they both wanted right? She can't now think that her not being present in the marriage because she wants to travel and do this and that because it's "her turn to be free" is the solution. That doesn't make sense. If the goal is to stay together, then she's got to listen to what he's saying to her. If not, then go be free. I guarantee you, if she chooses the latter, she"ll end up with regrets.
