    Thanks for the video Mark. I wish we had a facility like Diveline up in Aberdeen. They seem a genuinely nice bunch of folks 👌

    With Simply Scuba back up will Safe Diving stay active?

    It would be interesting to hear your stories of: When things go wrong! And how you corrected the problem. Another diver has a problem which you have assisted, equipment malfunction etc. Could make for a valuable and informative video for all of us. Just a thought!
    Enjoying your channel. Your advice with the hydro worked perfectly, thanks. I am of an age 64 and recently started diving again here in Denmark having dived a great deal in Cornwall (UK being my home land) as a teenager. The Fenzy life jacket no more!! So all new equipment and techniques and the whole PADI OW course again, even so BSAC trained to a high level....great fun but a learning curve and so glad I retrained.

      Lots of incidents and lots of stories.
      The main thing is to relax and be a strong foundation for other divers in the water. If they see you as strong and calm then it calms them down.

    They seem like a nice bunch. For me though, this is very much what you find with a lot of UK dive centres....older men who run it, and as a younger woman it’s not the most inviting. Great to see a female instructor though. I also noticed they weren’t plugging UK diving that much, rather talking about how good the Red Sea is. I live in Plymouth and the diving off the coast here rivals any of the diving I’ve done abroad. It kind of makes me sad to see a UK dive centre not plugging how good UK diving is.....
    Would totally love to get you down to my local dive centre (Aquanauts, Plymouth). They have their own pool, dive boat and an online store as well as an awesome centre.

      Yeah I know Aquanauts, it's been a while since I visited but hopefully after lockdown is over I can get a group together and visit the wrecks.
      It is tough for girls but there is a growing population and community that encourage the next generation.
      I always wanted a female co-presenter at Simply to help with the female side of diving. I never thought I was the right face for talking about women's dive gear...

      @@SafeDiving Emma makes an interesting point about what owner and staff can take for granted, but can at first appear to make a dive centre less inviting to some. It's a topic your channel could explore. It could even be broader than dive centres as we want our live-aboards, dive sites and dive trips to be inviting.

    Since Mark is back in Simply Scuba (yeay!), I came here just here to pass my commiseration for this channel. RIP Safe Diving (for now I hope 😉).

    Thanks for the video and greetings from the USA. Had the chance to dive the Red Sea this past September (St Johns and Elphinstone) and had a great time---touring the sites afterwards was great too. Hope to get back there maybe next October and do Reefs and Wrecks to try something different. Good diving my friend!

    If you’re ever down in Plymouth you should drop in to Sandford and Down. Dave and Scott are great and have a lot of interesting stories.

    Thanks Mark. Great video. Nice shop- although not in my neighborhood. It seems like I need to start planning a trip to the Red Sea. It is one of the places that I have had over a 100 people talk about it and they have all raved about it. Just not too keen on 12+ hour flight time from the States.

      It is lovely, but as you say: quite a trip.
      I love it there and for the past few years there's been restricted visits and all of the big wildlife has come back because it's quieter.
      After all this lockdown is all over I'm heading back for some R&R

    Great video Mark. Our video which will be up on Monday has a wee challenge for you after our IG message a few weeks ago. Hope you still up for it and it has been set by my buddy and the world’s first and only PADI Junior Divemaster, so no pressure 😊

    hey could you tell me what's the difference between HYDROS X BCD and the Hydros Pro BCD

    • @liamg3040
      @liamg3040 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The biggest difference is that the hydros x is jacket inflate while the pro is back inflate. Imo the hydros x removes much of the benefit of the hydros line (being a stripped down recreational bc). It’s basically a fancy more expensive version of the scuba pro level. Get a hydros pro, it’s a great bc

    lovely vid Mark but i’m not entirely convinced about an instructor telling you to dive an hour after a flight 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @DRXParadox
      @DRXParadox 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever with diving straight after a flight. If anything the amount of Nitrogen in your blood will be less than normal as you've been at a lower ambient pressure beforehand. The issue comes with going into a lower ambient pressure immediately after a dive, such as driving over high mountain passes.
