I change mine every 50k. The white area around the center of the inside of the plug slowly wears away. Or every 4 years. The longer you wait the harder they become to break loose to get out.

Gm recommends change at 100k miles but frankly from experience they should be replaced much earlier
GM recommends 60000 for the Chevy Cruze.
