Very nice piece, played with your heart. I didn't know this one from Éric Roche but I love his book, The Acoustic Guitar Bible; one of the best for fingerstyle guitar player. Thank you for this beautiful video. Robert
Wow... just wonderful. Nylon srings definately reveal another dimension, but its your playing. It's really hard to lisen to other performances after yours. Your set up is just about perfect too. Loved it.

Thanks man, glad to hear you're up for learning it too - its a great piece and Eric was a genius. There should hopefully be a TAB out via. CandyRat Records soon, as I learnt it from an out of print book! Hope you're not kept waiting too long...
Hey Angeline, the score is out of print at the mo, although Thomas Leeb (the guitarist who transcribed it) is currently sorting out making a PDF of the score/TAB available to download, will pop a link on here when its set up!:0)
Yeah! :-) I'm thinking of learning this for part of a recital next year. I hate thinking of things in terms of grades - but (i dont know if youve done the grade system) what do you reckon this would be? I have to focus on a specific composer - Im stuck between Hedges, Roche and Leeb! :-) Good decision to have to make though! Thanks!
Its around grade 6 I'd say - although some of the stretches at the end lend it more to grade 7... definitely good for a recital as an "in-between" piece as not everything has to be about fast scales and virtuosity. Its a good chance to show off the expressiveness in your playing.:0)
Hello. It is very wonderful music and performance. Please tell many performances from now on. Facebook did followed, too. The icon is a man in favorite musicians, but I am a woman. :)
Hi declan, just checked out all the details regarding the tuning as mentioned further down the thread and also checked candy rat tabs... No joy yet :-( if you have a copy I could get hold of that would be great. I'm currently about Grade 3 but am managing to play a few grade 5 pieces, Bird flew over the spire is the current grade 5 favorite, if you can help pls get in touch on FB...cheers
Hi Declan - great sound. I have Stephen Hill's 66th guitar from many years ago when he lived here in Lewes. Out of interest do you play at weddings and events? I run www.classicalguitarist.co.uk which is an agency for guitarists.
Amazing work Declan! Hope to see more Roche covers from you in the future :)
I first heard this Eric Roche piece on the website for A.E.R. amplifiers and loved it. You played it perfectly. Just beautiful.
