This is such a good video for showing people, who have no idea, what a glue book is. Very well explained and lots of criteria to look at. Your pages are fantastic. I was very sad when I finished my own En Masse, cos I really enjoyed doing it. I've thought about doing another one, but as you know, collage fodder can be very hard to come by and very expensive. Before Covid was so much better, when our local library used to have a section of used magazines you could get for free, and ofc, doctors surgery etc. And then the other thing is that I get attached to some of my images and don't like to use them just in case I do then find somewhere else where they would have looked better lol. What are we like lol. Tfs xo
Yes Elizabeth I know what you mean, it's all about finding joy in just glueing down images you like altogether. This series is for the beginner/newbie but in some ways I'm showing my gluebooks at the same time...also anyone can pick up ideas they may not of thought of too 😜😉😊 I love my colour glue book and my 'The Collective' gbook as well. I think when it is complete I might do an alphabet one on it's own, as I think I will do a more random gb too which I can then theme each page with what I actually have rather than trying to find it all the time. More ideas for future gluebooks. 😁😁😁💡💕
How interesting. I recently made my first glue book without knowing it's a glue book. I have a journal where I stick things I really like but that I can't use in my art. I made it out of brown packing paper, used wrapping paper and last year's Christmas cards. But I love the idea of doing an alphabet book. Ooh, I'll have to have a think😊
Oh that's great Weenie, sometimes I wish I had done the alphabet in a separate book of it's own but I love trying to figure out what to put on each page.... Some people just use the actual letter and that's it, I think it's more fun to find things starting with the letter 😁😁💖
@@ChattylaineCreates I agree. I was just wondering if I should pick on word for each letter and just find those images. Like cats for C. But then what happens if I find a nice cactus? I'll be kicking myself😂 No I think how you did it gives you a bit of room to be creative with your words, like the cat and dog cuddling. And it will be fun looking through it in the future trying to guess why an image is under a certain letter. You could be a bit cheeky too😉 like I could but Boris Johnson under C🤣 although I don't know if I want him lighting my book. I'm gonna have to go and see what I have that I can make a journal out of. And I agree with you on the size, they need to be on the larger side. Thank you for the inspiration😊
@@W._Langman ha ha 🤣🤣 Boris doesn't need to be in your book at all he will spoil the C page completely!! For my fantasy/Sci-fi gb I used a Primark paper carry bag as the cover, there are more and more shops using paper carry bags, they have a nice crunchy sound too. 😁💕

I just spent the last few hours customising a composition book to be my glue book. Extended the covers and made tabs. I didn't have enough brown paper for 26 spreads
@@W._Langman oh no how many did you get, some composition books are 80 pages, some are 100. Did you stick 2 pages together or just singles? Otherwise like me just glue another book cover to cover... I sanded mine down first to get a better bond as mine were from Poundland and a bit shiny.
