Complete guide for Bosch MEDC17 Bootloader module 71 of PCM Flash using Scanmatik 2 Pro PSA EDC17C10

- Here's a complete guide of what you need to buy and how to conenct using the PCM Flash MEDC17 Bootloader from module 71. With this module you can program the Bosch EDC17 ECUs on the bench without needing to open the lid, this saves lots of time.
Be aware, not all models can be read using the bootloader as sometimes the maps are stored in an external flash and the bootloader won't read this. In this situation you need to use module 53 the BSL and open up the ECU and connect a boot pin.

Google it, you're not the first to do it. What's the model?

@@dorinbatrin8757 ok so if you search for the pinout diagram what do you get? If there are two processors there will be different diagrams for the boot pin. If not then there is just one

I dont have a full pinout only the knee used for programming. Try diagbox there may be a full circuit diagram on there, or buy a nee wiring loom might be easier..

Hi. Do you have any tutorial video of how to connect Powerbox for PCM flasher to Toyota Denso ECU via DB15 cable? I have some ECU pinout but when I try to connect the DB15 cable to the ECU based on the pinout, it is still not work.
I think if you buy the real tool PCM Flash it will work, the clone tools are not so good. PCM Flash is a good price and a great tool, its worth investing in.

How do you know if yours is TC1797 and not TC1796 AND vice versa? What if immobilizer was changed or ECU ID was changed by error. Do I need to use Scanner tool to solve the issue because it's in EEPROM or it can be solved?

12.4v and I think it does 6A max, it will only draw the current the ecu needs

The pinout for the cable? It depends which cable you have as some have different colours, I think its listed on chiptuningshop

Brother i have bmw X5. It give 4x4 error. when i calibrate the steering wheel, error will gone but after some hours or 1 day it will back. I exchange the controller it will run ok. my steering wheel control unit are faulty.
