I thought the same thing but they actually explain it in the film. The M1 Garand rifle has a very distinctive sound and its semi-automatic fire would have been very noticeable compared to the German K98 bolt action rifle that he should have been carrying. The reason was somewhat plausible and may have occurred during the war. The Germans did in fact use deceptions along these lines to confuse the U.S. Troops. Now the real problem that I had, as has been mentioned already, was the pistol. That should have been taken care of by having someone on the production with a better knowledge of weapons.

if you're ever in battle this is rule #1. Ignore at your peril. Do not, ever, under any condition pull out a picture of your wife/husband girlfriend/boyfriend son/daughter mother/father or your dog and pass it around, look at it wistfully, or talk to it in a quiet determined voice and promise anything. 1st one to do that ALWAYS DIES.
There are many things that are incorrect in this film. First, wrong haircut for a US Army person jumping into combat. Second, why would a tank fire a canon at a single soldier? They wouldn't they would use a machine gun. Third, the German wore a Red Cross armband. People, either Ally or Axis, wearing such a device were allowed to carry a weapon. Fourth, the gun was wrapped in new/unused hessian which only a WWII sniper might have employed and then it would be deliberately be darkened. 'nuf sed.
I don't want to be nit-picky but, why is he carrying an M-9 beretta in 1944? And now why is the German sanitator carrying an m1 garand? Wait he shouldn't be carrying a gun at all. Hold up he just explained why he's carrying it after the supposed American captain that should know better just called it a "carbine" This is pretty bad.
I had a hard time getting past the haircut while he was exposed in the middle of an open field. Everything after that was moot. And then I thought, maybe he was a time traveler in a parallel universe. And it was all better.

Even if he had a time accurate Beretta model as an American soldier he wouldn't be carrying an Italian firearm. At least the cigarettes are unfiltered which is correct for the time. if you're ever in battle this is rule #1. Ignore at your peril. Do not, ever, under any condition pull out a picture of your wife/husband girlfriend/boyfriend son/daughter mother/father or your dog and pass it around, look at it wistfully, or talk to it in a quiet determined voice and promise anything. 1st one to do that ALWAYS DIES.
not back up gun p1911 not p92
Sophirak Oeur you mean m1911 and m9?
bruh the chew this of saggy water bandages nice medic skills
The plane crash at the start really really made me sad as I like aviation
Guess there were no hair regs in ww2 lol
A Beretta. Wow😆😆😆
That was awesome great short film but he had Beretta 🤔
Why is he being helped
Cause not all germans where bad
because the german was a medic pay attention :)
A 92 Beretta....? Designed in in 1975.
Don’t worry guys it’s a search and destroy match buck will respawn next round
My enemy My friend!
Hold up he just explained why he's carrying it after the supposed American captain that should know better just called it a "carbine"
This is pretty bad.
German medics liked the M-1 Garand as it made a good platform to hang IV bottles and plasma. That’s a little known fact I just made up. 😂
I had a hard time getting past the haircut while he was exposed in the middle of an open field. Everything after that was moot. And then I thought, maybe he was a time traveler in a parallel universe. And it was all better.
@@MarkKratzMC haha yeah the "suspending disbelief" can be harder to do in some videos more than others
Your parallel universe comment reminded me of these English guys' channel I found recently. They mock on wwii movies w/ a sort of Monty python'esque sense of humor

wth is a ww2 soldier doing with an beretta m9. hes supposed to have a m1911
What's with the berretta
Push back to Berlin lol great film...
Beretta?
GET A HAIRCUT, CAPTAIN!!!!
So, no one saved Buck.
In ww2 they haven t m9 beretta pistol and german haven t m1 garand but nice film
Rocky, the Germans had truckloads of Garands. Sherman tanks, too.
Everybody in the comments are talking about the Beretta
Lol everyone beat me to "why does a paratrooper have a baretta m92
My dad was a navy but i like the army
fuck this Beretta, but film is AMAZING, Bravo!!
The Germans would not have wasted a tank round on one soldier, they would have used a machine gun on the tank and why the fuck does he have a Beretta M9/92? Even if he had a time accurate Beretta model as an American soldier he wouldn't be carrying an Italian firearm. At least the cigarettes are unfiltered which is correct for the time.
Regardless it was a great film and I enjoyed it.
Long shaggy hair and armed with a 9MM Beretta?
German with m1 that doesn't make sense maybe he picked it of a dead GI???? Other then that its good.
The German soldier had a fricking M1 Garand
Germans were handicapped by being issued bolt action rifles. Relatively few had semi-auto or select fire rifles.
Hippy needs a haircut
stop complaining about the beretta and take the moral of story for god sake.
If you are making a film on the Civil War, and there is a Confederate troop using an M4, will you criticize it? I sure as hell would
Pulls out berreta wtf was that it was so good until he pulled out a 9mm😂
The shrapnel from the tank shell would've tore him up
It could have been an AP projectile. Tanks didn't always have a good selection of cartridges aboard.
THE GERMAN HELMET LOOKS LIKE TOY
Oops, forgot my 1911. Give me a 92.
why tf does an American soldier have a berretta 92 f and a German soldier has a fucking M1 Garand
bury a friend
