My guess is that wrestling fans can't differentiate the man from the performer. Jarrett's spent his career in the mainstream as a disliked, annoying, channel-changing heel. The brief time that he was a babyface in TNA everyone knew he was the booker booking himself to beat everybody so they hated him even more.
This is the best pod of the Ad Free Show/Conrad Thompson Podcast Network... BY FAR. I listen to/watch and love every episode of Something To Wrestle, What Happened When, 83 Weeks, Arn, Grilling JR, Kurt Angle Show and DDP Snakepit. My World is my favorite hands down. It's the most informative, entertaining and captivating pod... Thank you and keep up the great work CT & JJ.
These matches were awesome. Onita got his inspiration for FMW from these and his time on Funk’s ranch. It’s an amazing stopping point in the timeline of wrestling history. The brawls were just awesome. Found one on TH-cam that was from Kennet Missouri. That is such a small town but the match was great to see there. What a story.
The first and only time I got to sit ringside at the Louisville Gardens, the main event was Lawler and Jarrett vs. The Moondogs. During the match, Lawler had Spot outside the ring, right in front of me and my wife at the time. Spot was busted open and Lawler was holding up his fist, looking around, waiting for the crowd to cheer him on. I yelled at Lawler "Don't ask the fans, just hit him if you're gonna do it" and Lawler proceeded to hit Spot right on the forehead, sending Moondog blood spraying all over me and the wife. It was a good time in the Gardens that night.
My dad was dressed up as Richard Lee in the main event in the Mid-South Coliseum for the Moondogs vs Lawler/Jarrett when Lawler burned Richard Lee with a fireball
I use to Jeff Jarret in the days when he first started. Louisville gardens every Tuesday night he wasn't even wrestling when I started going. Was big fabulous ones and Austin Idol fan...
Based on the number of people who CLAIM they were at the Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl, half the population of Northeast Mississippi must have been packed in that tiny, shitty building that night.... even people who hadn't been born yet! I guess I'm the only person in Tupelo who wasn't there. But, I was able to watch it twice on TV the following morning. WTVA out of Tupelo always showed highlights of the Friday night show at noon on Saturdays.
I've always wondered how Jarrett could be the worst wrestler ever but could still throw such a good punch. 🤣🤣 I was never a huge Jarrett fan or hater either way. I always thought he was a good wrestler but never really liked his promos. I was a huge Owen Hart fan though and the Blue Blazer was an old favorite from when I had first started watching wrestling as a kid. When Owen and Jarrett did the Blue Blazer storyline in WWF I was a huge fan so after the accident seeing Jeff's emotion because of his friendship with Hart on the raw after he kinda earned a soft spot in my heart. I haven't always watched everything he's done but I've tried to keep up with things and I've always been happy to see his continued success even if he did have to book himself into the top spot. I gotta say as much as I like Jarrett seeing his recent work with GCW it's nice to see him have a decent wrestling character after 30 some odd years or whatever. It's such an inspiration to people not to give up. If you stick with it you'll eventually get it right even if it takes a friggin lifetime to do. Hopefully GCW doesn't let him destroy the company like he single handily did wcw, bullet club, the nwo, The Four Horsemen, ECT... Seriously though, thank you Jeff for all of the entertainment content you've created and continued to create throughout the years. You have honestly been a huge part of my whole life and still continue to create entertaining content. I have not been able to join ad free shows but as soon as I can justify the expense in what I am doing in my life it is honestly on my list of things to do. After all of these years and the fact that I have yet to miss a show whether I watch it on here or listen to it as a podcast as soon as I can connect the dots and make that happen I will. It is the least I can do to repay you in a small way for all of the ways you have and continued to entertain us over the years. As much sh*t as I talk I honestly have been a longtime fan. Thank you and congratulations for everything Can't wait to see this new wrestling company you're not starting be as successful as your last... Which I'm still waiting for the podcast about... Global Force Wrestling baby...🙄🤣
I saw “DirtyWhite GRL Controversial” I thought u was bringing up the SEastern/Continental The Fullers ran&sold to Woods that got Obeserver Angle of the Year n 88 or 89. Boutwell was under construction remodeling so they had 2tape at BHAM Fairgrounds. Dirty White girl came to podium with a black eye asking to speak to Tom. Prichard finally comes out& Dirty white boy comes from behind throws him thru the Continental logo. Smashed a beer bottle over his head. White girl wipes the makeup bruise off. And then to top it off they drag Prichard to ring and hang him over top rope where it looks like his head is about 2xplode getting redder than Bro Love. Now that I think about it, it may of Ben 87 because Gordon Solie was still comentating&I DONT think he did when Woods bought it & brought n Eddie G&Paul E
It is legit beyond me why this podcast doesn’t have tons more than 15,400 subscribers. I’ve listened to every episode, it’s pure gold
It’s pure gold but it has tons of competition. You can listen to one wrestling podcast at a time .
it's because Jeff can't recall?

It takes time. Bruce Prichard getting 100,000 subscribers was a 5 year process!
I'm currently one hour in and this is already one of my favorite episodes of any of the CT podcasts ever.

They should make a 4 horsemen shirt where they are trying to keep Jeff out of the house like during the intro to Family Matters with Urkel lol
One of the best wrestlig podcasts ! so underrated!
When you find out Moondog Rex was the original Smash in Demolition! 🤯
My dad was dressed up as Richard Lee in the main event in the Mid-South Coliseum for the Moondogs vs Lawler/Jarrett when Lawler burned Richard Lee with a fireball
Big Black Dog also broke my dad’s recliner and had to take the T-tops off his car to ride back to Dyersburg with him
Great Info Jeff. As me being a Knoxville area native it's great to hear about all the TN guys that made a impact in "The Business"
