My man promised his soul to two different demons to prevent any particular one from having it. My man's played poker with his soul as a chip and essentially came out of it with immortality while flipping the bird, permanently curing his cancer, and smoking all the rest of the cigarettes he wants. This is why people *love* John Constantine.
Ennis is tied with Mike Carey for best Hellblazer run in my opinion. Both had the best grasp on the character, and the magickal world at-large. If you haven’t already, please check out Mike Carey’s Lucifer, which is the Lucifer Morningstar from Sandman. One of my favorite comics of all time
Aren't they separate entities anyway? First of the Fallen has been shown to rule the hell as recently as DC All In Special. While Lucifer gave up on it a long time ago. Also, how does Neron fits in these stuff. In his first appearance he's basically Lucifer or FOTF.
As much as Garth Ennis wanted to avoid confussion by not adding Lucifer Morningstar that´s exactly what he did! Because following the Vertigo chronology at the time, Lucifer left hell to play the piano or something and Hell is being rule by those two angels Ramuel and Duma, you know, the ones we met in Sandman vol.4 Season of Mists but in this we meet "The First of the fallen" that rules hell with another two randoms? Great video as always, Danny!
I’ve been hooked on Garth Ennis for a few years starting with Shadow Man then Preacher (discovered you right after finishing Preacher last year). If you ever have time, and you’re a Garth Ennis fan, check out Rover Red Charlie, Hitman, Dicks, and Crossed. Can’t wait to see how you feel about this. I’m currently a few issues ahead of where you ended here. Big fan of your stuff and it takes an insane amount of work to do these. Thanks for the content.
This is the first Hellblazer comic I ever picked up when I was a teenager. I tried to go back and read Jamie Delano's run back then but I couldn't find all the issues. I've only just now got three Hellblazer runs in graphic novels. Here's are the Hellblazer runs I've collected Jamie Delano's run Garth Ennis' run Paul Jenkins' run I'm just starting to collect Brian Azzerello's run now. I've got the first two volumes of Azzerello's run two days ago.

I’ve been looking forward to this all week!
I really have enjoyed Hellblazer by Garth Ennis and think you should look into The Demon also by Ennis
Interesting never heard of that run. Ennis doing Etrigan sounds cool.

Never covered this story arc.
The movie did this ending better, just my opinion
I read Garth Ennis and knew it was gonna be shit 0:36
I love Ennis but his run on Hellblazer was not my favorite.
What was top for you? I am reading this series as I do these videos, so there is so much I haven’t read.
@@dannymaltJamie Delano and Mike Carey. Ennis has a very good run but simplifies Constaintine for mainstream audiences
