When you get to a new campground and are throwing the dice on a site, that trip from the office to the site is always tense. When you get to the site and it exceeds expectations it is a fantastic feeling. Conversely, when the site is not what you wanted it is extremely disappointing. I'm glad you got what you wanted.
Yep. I think the disappointment is more common though. There’s always things about a site that upsets me, like when you get the muddy site instead of the one with all the gravel.
Abby, the rail road tracks are protected by the STOP, LOOK and LISTEN cross buck signs. You may see RR signage in your antique shop quests. A sign with a W doesn't indicate Wayne but reminds the engineer to blow the whistle (today a horn) for the highway crossing ahead. Enjoy the sweet sounding horn echos through nearby valleys each evening.
I just discovered you on your trip through Arkansas, and just watched your video on Mammoth Spring State Park, great video. Just down the road was a town called Hardy, I used to live there and you should have visited, a resort town that still has the board sidewalks like the towns of old. Anyway, you've done a great job with your video's, and I will be watching from now on. BTW out of 10...I give you, and your video's a 10.
Never seen that smokey joe iron or aluminum grid topper before: seems like a good addition. Hopefully the trains were not doing that all night! I think they were tooting extra because your burgers smelled so delicious!
They call it "The Natural State" for a reason. The list goes on and on for great spots. And to think the highest point 2753ft absl. If you get the chance to drive the Talimena Parkway you wont regret that one either :-) Enjoy your trip.
The Ozarks are just as nice with so many clear creeks springs with huge trout in them, Ozark lake plus the state park forest camp grounds are the best in MO.
Go to a farm supply store and pick up Golden Marlrin fly bait. Sprinkle it around or I place it in a throw away bowl, cup.. place a rock in it so it don't blow over. It works great!
Those little Webers are the bomb! I have a custom charcoal modified grill smoker combo made out of a new grill and parts from my old one. I gave it to Pop 20 years ago. I usually use the Weber 'cause I'm single. My friends have a massive stainless propane grill but they always use their Weber. It's more fun to scramble around cooking on them!
The lantern looks like two I have that my father gave me. They were used in the oil field in West Virginia. The old oil field guys called them "Yellow Dogs", don't know the organ of the name. Enjoying your adventure very much.
Ha ha! You wouldn't have so many flies if you stopped drinking Coors. Ever been in a bathroom in Golden, Co. and seen the sign that says flush twice Coors needs water? I was just in Mena, Arkansas on a camping/ATV trip about a month ago riding the Wolf Pen Gap trials. You might want to look at Daisy State park too, its really pretty and on a lake. I went through Army Basic at Fort Leonard Wood so I've spent some time in the Ozarks sleeping in the woods.
We don’t think making jokes about a particular beer folks like to drink funny. In fact, we drink all Beers, especially crafts beers made locally when we travel.
I was a little apprehensive when y’all were driving to campground lol ~ BUT what a great place it turned out to be. Will definitely add to our list. Thank y’all so much for creating these videos for us all to enjoy. I enjoy each and everyone of them ~ always. Enjoy 😊
Beautiful location! Grew up on the Colorado river in Souther California and we would grill Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, as well as steaks and burgers! Brings back some great memories! If your in the Springfield area, you have to check out the caverns!
That looks like a great place to camp. Since you are a train fan you should see if next year's big haul can catch up with the 4014 Big Boy steam train your. They just did a tour that went through TX and La and up into Mo and Ne and back to Wy. We were supposed to go see it in St Louis but didn't work out. It's amazing to see up close. Safe travels.
Perfect timing headed over to Memphis in a couple of weeks. Love the perspective you guys present in your videos. Also love the grilling/smoking views.
It might be too late now, but you really ought to eat at Lambert’s in Ozark. They have RV parking and a unique experience. Right on US65 so not too much time lost.
Don't know if you are hitting MN on this trip but if you are I would be more than happy to let you set up camp at our place, right on a 500 acre lake. The electric hook up is waiting for you.
Who could possibly thumb down a great video about real Americans camping and grilling along the river?? Vegans? Woke? Woke Vegans? Those burgers looked awesome, Chef Adam.
Hi Adam, You guys dealing with them flies reminds me of one time I went canoeing on the river with my wife. We got less then a half mile down the river and the deer flys were attacking us. I had a bunch of dead ones at my feet from swatting so many of them that were biting us. Had to get off the river right away. I don’t really care for black flies buzzing all around my head. They place you set your camper up at sure looked pretty.
get you a cold beer go sit in the river enjoy the cool with a cold beer , we own land there , and camp there all the time , nicest bath houses , cleanest camp grounds on the river , sonny ( the owner ) and his guys keep it nice , cut sprayed , etc...
Me neither because theres plenty other spots here in arkansas that allows firearms & pets . I understand the pet thing to a certain extent i camp alot up at sylamore i have a belgian malinois & ive trained him from a pup but there is people that bring pets that bark non stop & show aggresiveness , i just cant imagine owning a pet where someone that didnt train them at least behavior i let my dog run loose & he doesnt bother any other campers stays in his area .
I've been there or close to it since 1966, Boy Scout camp about 20 miles to the west on the south fork of this river. Just to the west of Mammoth Springs is a state park Grand Gulch where the water that feeds the springs goes underground. Very interesting as it used to be a cave. Forget when it collapsed but a very long time ago. The springs used to be above ground before a power company built the power house and dammed up the spring branch. Yes beware of the river files they can be horrible. NO mosquitoes though. Glad you made it through Memphis OK. How many times did the train roll through. Dont visit during the mayfly hatch, there are billions of flying things.
I used to live in Mitchell so.dak. and chamberlain. My grandma and extended family lives in chamberlain still. You should try being there in the winters you would freeze. I moved to Oklahoma and everytime I go back to see family I forget to pack a jacket.
Might be a rafting / fishing place. At least not a fishery where they blow a horn at 5am every day. Start of fishing time. We made that mistake one time. Got in after dark and left just after sun rise and a hundred fishermen going for trout.
You never answer this question but I’ll ask again… what’s the deal with the grill great for the little Weber. Like this comment if you’re wondering as well y’all
Golly. Wish I knew you all were here. I would have love to shown you around the real Ozarks. At least I would have bought you the Ozarks best bbq at Bootleggers in West Plains.
Most of the roads here in Arkansas are narrow gravel roads. This state is still stuck in the 60's. That's why I like it here.
LOL, precision grill marks! Even on the buns 🤣
Thanks for sharing with us Adam and Abby, great campground, so peaceful. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
Thanks for bringing us along. That convection oven/air fryer looks like a good purchase!
Yes, we love hearing Abby
Really nice campsite and I'm glad you did get your tires changed be safe be careful and God bless🙏👍
We always use a fan for the flies. We set it at the end of the table or near where we are sitting and it works great.

We love hearing you Abby! (Or is it Abbi?) love having you do more in the videos.
7:02. Its called "Big Creek" !
Stayed there many times tent camping...spring river is a blast to float
Arkansas is the Natural State. All locations are beautiful! Im a native Arkansan living in STL.
The most beautiful part of Arkansas is at Buffalo River national park
Looking forward to the Mammoth Spring State Park vid. So glad you guys appreciate Arkansas!
I used to live right by Railroad Tracks. Loved it. Sometimes l never hear them. Now l miss my Trains

Thanks for the great video guys 👏👏👏👍🇬🇧🥰🍺🍺
A true machinist attention to detail-including the cross hatches in the burgers👍
You guys are fun to hang out with. It reminds me of when my wife and I started RVing. Enjoy!
It's good to see all those smiles...😊
Never seen that smokey joe iron or aluminum grid topper before: seems like a good addition. Hopefully the trains were not doing that all night! I think they were tooting extra because your burgers smelled so delicious!
Luvs watching your Travels

Nice fishing spot right at your camp. Especially old school cork fishing! Catch, clean, and cook video???
Those burgers are making my mouth water... lol.
Great video! Excited to go antiquing with you guys!
Great trout fishing there from the state park down to riverside resort.
You’re very respectful people an so conscious. I so appreciate your videos your beautiful an inspirational. God blessing to you.

My father got me on sitting outside with a fan blowing on us. Keeps the flies away, and keeps you cool. 👍
You can spray any bug spray around the perimeter of your camp. Works every time.
Hey Buddy you and your wife are being followed by Ida the hurricane . I hope you have a good rear view mirror. Be safe!!!!
The lantern looks like two I have that my father gave me. They were used in the oil field in West Virginia. The old oil field guys called them "Yellow Dogs", don't know the organ of the name. Enjoying your adventure very much.
Yep, that’s what I’ve learned they were called. Awesome lanterns! Very rare to find now.
So nice
Abom does it right.

Fun!
Love the Slow Motion effects on the Weber! Beautiful camping site!
We are hoping you guys are safe, during the hurricane.
I just saw this. This is an hour and a half from me. Glad you enjoyed it! Come back anytime!
Enjoy folks

Thank you for sharing your wonderful Adventures can’t wait to see more I am from South Africa
We drove through Mammoth Spring on the way to Destin Florida from Topeka Kansas.
Oh I LIKE that misty river look eh!! ALMOST expect to see Huck Finn come paddling along in his flat bottomed rowboat...
Beautiful location! Grew up on the Colorado river in Souther California and we would grill Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, as well as steaks and burgers! Brings back some great memories! If your in the Springfield area, you have to check out the caverns!
Looked like a beautiful site... :-)
We love to see and hear you Abby you are beautiful lady!
That looks like a great place to camp.

This is where I am from! It is a beautiful area but I am glad I moved to NC. Enjoy!
Perfect timing headed over to Memphis in a couple of weeks. Love the perspective you guys present in your videos. Also love the grilling/smoking views.
Glad to see you got some WIFi access! And that sizzling, juicy burger grilling shot ~ You are cruel man Adam!
Those 45° grill marks looking good.!! 👌👌
Floated that river and tent camped there many times
It might be too late now, but you really ought to eat at Lambert’s in Ozark. They have RV parking and a unique experience. Right on US65 so not too much time lost.
I’ve eaten at their Foley location a few times. I tried to reserve a site there but the guy would never call me back.
Don't know if you are hitting MN on this trip but if you are I would be more than happy to let you set up camp at our place, right on a 500 acre lake. The electric hook up is waiting for you.
best camp ground on the spring river
. stay safe with the hurricane stuff thanks for the trip! best spot ever !!
Outstanding video 👍 guys
Bacon and eggs "Riverside of Course" 😁
Waking up on that river looks like something I need to do!
NICE!!!!!!!!!!
Who could possibly thumb down a great video about real Americans camping and grilling along the river?? Vegans? Woke? Woke Vegans?
Those burgers looked awesome, Chef Adam.
Nice trip Guys . When we BBQ WE PUT OUT SMOKE STICKS INCENSE TO CUT DOWN ON THE FLYS . IT HELPS A BIT 🇺🇸👍
Flies are horrendous in Maryland right now too!
Thanks for the updates the site looks great the burgers and fries, my kind of meal, wets my appetite while waiting for Ida here in Hammond.
Thank you for a good video.
you like trains.. the Big Boy SP 4014 will be in MO starting today 29th one very large engine!!
Hi Adam, You guys dealing with them flies reminds me of one time I went canoeing on the river with my wife. We got less then a half mile down the river and the deer flys were attacking us. Great video!
You need to get you several portable fly catchers and hang several of them near the site and table.
I’ve used them on past camps and at home all the time. I didn’t bring any with us on this trip.
Glad you are enjoying your trip. Hope you are getting out of the target zone for the incoming weather. It is gonna get ugly done there.
The water is always cold. Nice video.
You should have stopped in Hardy. Little bit of antiquing there and right on your route.
get you a cold beer go sit in the river enjoy the cool with a cold beer , we own land there , and camp there all the time , nicest bath houses , cleanest camp grounds on the river , sonny ( the owner ) and his guys keep it nice , cut sprayed , etc...
It’s definitely a beautiful place! 👍🏻
put a small fan at end of table for the flies
I love yall's vids. I would never stay at this campground. They lost me at 'No Guns'.
Me neither because theres plenty other spots here in arkansas that allows firearms & pets . What a great spot I can never go to … can’t camp without my two puppies!! BTW, could smell the burgers at my house in LA.
Little Escambia River boji yeah I know exactly what you're talking about boss
In Australia we would call that a billabong (7:00)
Hey Abby... I also spent lots of time at Bennett Springs with my dad. Did you ever stay at Sands Springs hotel?
Where is this? What town? When I google it I get Berryville but you said mammoth springs and that’s not close to Berryville
Sandra Westley uk you can buy candles over here that deter bugs.
Might be a rafting / fishing place. At least not a fishery where they blow a horn at 5am every day. Start of fishing time. We made that mistake one time. Got in after dark and left just after sun rise and a hundred fishermen going for trout.
How often does the train pass?
So often you won't even notice it.
LOL
We only heard it morning and evening.
Stop by Grizzly Tool sometimes while you are in Springfield.
Or check out the cave tour.
It is a beautiful spot but the trains every half hour in the Am must be a pain for the late morning people
You never answer this question but I’ll ask again… what’s the deal with the grill great for the little Weber. Like this comment if you’re wondering as well y’all
It’s made by Grillgrates. Go to their website Grillgrates.com to purchase for any grill.
No pets? Bummer, guess I won't be going there. My baby girl is a must
Golly. Wish I knew you all were here. I would have love to shown you around the real Ozarks. At least I would have bought you the Ozarks best bbq at Bootleggers in West Plains.
Have any pets. Just each other!
