I think we need to be mindful about social class within this conversation. There are a significant amount of young black people in this country 18-29 who are not college students or college graduates. They are not living the same lives or socializing in the same places. They aren’t debating political issues in classrooms or at student centers. Many are just 9-5 working people trying to support themselves and/or their families. We have to consider them when we are talking about young people and establish an out reach program that centers them instead of excluding them out of the conversation.

Roland should not have shut down the conversation on a brokered convention. The conversation needs to happen, we all saw what we saw. open and honest conversation can pressure him to do it! this conversation was pretty disconnect from reality when you look at every other panel discussing the debate is only talking about Biden stepping down.

If trump gets into office, it will be the last free election in our lifetime. It will be open season on black people. White supremacists will be unbound from law or civility. There will be a return to pre civil rights era. Few black students will be able to attend public colleges or universities, which leaves only HBCU’s, as it was 60 years ago. With the predicted cuts in funding to black colleges and universities, only the wealthiest athletes, doctors, lawyers, and business owners will be able to afford it. On top of that, expect fewer jobs, because trump will export jobs to China, to his good friend Xi. Food prices with skyrocket, as it did while he was in office. Americans, no matter how poor, will not voluntarily harvest the fields. He will finish destroying the EPA, as he attempted before, because his wealthy supporters need to lower costs by dumping their contaminants into our rivers and streams. All those super fund locations, no one will clean them. Coal will return to churning out tons of pollutants into the air we need to breathe, resulting in increased cases of respiratory diseases in minority communities. This will lead to further impoverishing low income families due to increasing hospital bills. Crime will increase. Drug use will increase. The black community has so far managed to avoid the opioid epidemic due to bigoted doctors believing our pain tolerance is exaggerated. The dominant society will feel the need to correct that imbalance. I could go on, because there’s no end to the chaos that orange doofus will create. Biden might be old, but trump is a psychopath, one still lusting after his own daughter. I hope that’s enough to get y’all off the sofa and into the voting booth. People like trump will burn this country to the ground just to soothe his aching ego.
