    James,
Would you mind to do a short video on resin kits ? The questions I have are
    1. What exactly is a resin kit
    2. What’s the chief material
    3. What are the advantages over styrene kits
    4. Why are they a little to a lot more expensive than styrene kits
    5. What are the key steps in prep, gluing, painting, etc to ensure
    a good result.

I snagged a Subaru Brat when they first re-released many years back. Still has the mechanical switch speed controller,,with big bar resistor. Built and painted both bodies that it came with. It takes a spin out on the patio on occasion with a 11.1 volt. Original one I had won me a bunch of races. Had the Thorp/Dirt Burners adjustable Ball differential, as this re-release has. My first race winner was a Tamyia Frog(Subaru Brat chassis, smaller spikey tires, Chenoweth Baja desert racer body). It was DONE when I got it. A worn out heap,,lol. Still won races.

It was great to see inside the Tamiya shop.
I was surprised to see they only have limited amounts of stock available to buy.
I guess ordering in more stock is not such a big deal considering the Tamiya Factory is in Japan itself.
My local hobby shop has walls full of Tamiya models.
I was thinking the Tamiya shop in Japan would be much the same.
I have heard about this shop from a friend who travels to Japan occasionally.
I'm curious, is this Tamiya Shop the main factory outlet, or is it just one of many ?

Hi Ray, yes I do consider myself fortunate to be here in Japan. Yes the masterwork models are really nicely built kits. I have 2 in my collection. I’ll do a video showing the quality soon. I was tempted to buy the Raybrig NSX because you can’t even buy an unassembled kit for that. The newer ones were closer to $150 like the Senna and the Ford GT. thanks for watching my friend.

I had the Porsche 935 radio controlled version. It is a nice kit, and the decals fit quite well, which was a challenge with those stripes wrapping all over the place.
The scale full interior version of the Jagermeister 934 had nice detail, and I loved the engine in it.

I have been building Tamiya models since 1986!!
I am planning on going to Japan in a few years and I want to visit their headquarters. Right now, I am building three Tamiya kits, the 1/35 scale Sherman EZ8 WWII tank, 1/35 scale German Leopard 2a5 MBT, and the 1/48 scale U.S. NAVY F-4B Phantom II.
When I am finished building my projects, I will take some HD pictures of my work. These are some of the best model kits Tamiya ever made!!
I will take my HD pictures of my completed kits with me to Japan and show the company employees my own works of art!!
