I went to the University of Iowa I want to congratulate you on your podcast and how you remain positive for the sake of all the kids. I wish there were more people like you up there on social media. Your love for Nebraska football is evidence. I am an older person, so I can remember the Tom Osborne days. Thomas Osborne always had the same Attitude and approach to every game. He instilled character and faith. At Iowa, we share many of the same concerns that you have for your program. We lost two big 10 games to opponents who were in the bottom of the conference. I believe your program is headed in the right direction. Hopefully, everybody stays positive and gives your staff and players another year to recruit and build their program. I just wanted to thank you for your podcast. You are a man of class and I appreciate your assessment of the game. You are ready, sometimes the team with the best staff doesn’t win the game. That game could have went either way. Good luck to you guys in the ball game. I also want to wish you continued success moving forward.
Brutally painful loss. Lost my voice yelling at home. The lack of urgency on the last offensive drive. Two fumbles. Clear choking. Slow to take a timeout. Why? Very hard to watch. I blame everyone. Coaches and players. 6-6 is just more of the same. Painful stuff.
Beat ourselves and it falls on Rhule for the lack of discipline. It falls on Raiola for a lack of urgency and intensity. Every current WR can just get lost. Maybe we should post on Indeed for a good running back.
I still hate that kickoff fumble that wasn't that blows my mind, they looked at it for over 5 minutes, and that would have nuked 3 of the points Iowa scored. Iowa touched the ball first.....
🙏🏾 G Sharpe, missed you today. The wave to the kids very special. Good game. Wish the QB had the option to run more when he has those opportunities. The officials made bad calls. I know it was cold but they needed to keep their eyes on the ball …just didn’t want OT, thinking of their own. The season is successful, they made it to a bowl game. GBR🏈
As I was watching the game, I was reminded by what Steve Sipple said on Early Break. "Iowa will wait for you to make a mistake". Its exactly what they did. I still see it as a mostly successful season since we are going bowling. I see it heading in the right direction. Glad this season is over and the many of the players who maintain the losing mentality will be gone. Yes I am in disbelief. Most frustrating part is we owned them the entire game!
@DeBa1226 nice of you to put words in my mouth. I didn't say proud, but making a bowl game is mostly a success since we haven't in 8 yrs. Getting over that hump can be the hardest part, and it was done on a team with players who have built a culture of losing. Have to acknowledge successes when they come as they are far and few between. Could Rhule have replaced the entire team with different players, uprooting students' lives in the process for the sake of winning? Sure, but he didn't want to do that, and I respect that. He had to try to instill a winning mentality into losing mentalities. That's harder to do, but it will be a stronger program in the end, and I am sure the players appreciate it and will help them mentally far into the future. As a long-time fan, I appreciate the more respectful path, although the harder one!
@DeBa1226 sorry, I didn't realize you were such a dick. Forgive me "rube". Why don't you take a chill pill and have a conversation instead of calling names and being a total fuck face? You know, like that dick that's fucking your face hole right now?
When the offense only scores 10 points but ALSO gives the other team 6 points off field goal turnovers the offense only NETTED 4 points. Not gonna win any games like that.
Iowa wins those type of games consistently, Nebraska should seriously try to be like Iowa until they can become a Penn State then an Ohio State. Say what ya will bout Iowa but they've been able to win 9-11 games on a yearly basis, they go bowling every year while Nebraska keeps saying Iowa is a horrible program. Nebraska is a horrific program that thinks they're better then they really are, you need to crawl before you sprint, if Iowa isn't a horrible program because they're actually winning 9-11 games a year while Nebraska struggles to reach 6 wins every year.
Hard to answer all three questions. Sadly when 10-0 and the “muffed punt” happened, knew we were in trouble. Unfortunately the past decade has shown breaks won’t go our way so can’t say surprised lost. Just baffling how can always find a gut wrenching/heart breaking way. Just incredible how bad Iowa offense is year after year and can have winning records and find a way to have the ball for a last second FG. I don’t think the season is a loss as have a lot of young talent and bowl game practices to improve. It really does boil down to eliminating a few bad/missed plays a game. Players have to make plays and team has to develop and offensive identity. I am very nervous what the portal is going to do to this team with the roster limits now (Railo stay or go), what signing day will look like, and what happens with the coordinators. See what happens at the bowl game and build for next year. GBR
A very disappointing loss for a team that dominated most of the game. Unfortunately, Iowa doesn't beat themselves and we have trouble coming up with ways to win the game. The season can still be a success if we can take advantage of the additional practices and the opportunity to play in a bowl game. Go Big Red!!
How come you did not mention the nebraska players not shaking hands with the Iowa captains before the game. Please explain this I would really like to hear the explanation.
didn't they fist bump? - i didn't see that there was a rejection of an outstretched hand, for a handshake? Iowa has been classless in the past the way they treated NU after one of these types of close victories.
1 - Yes, I can't believe we lost. 2 - We dominated on all but 4 plays like you said. 3 - I don't consider the season a success, was the weakest schedule we will ever see. Can we address the elephant, what do we look like next year after losing what 13 seniors??? I think we will be worse next year.
I was yelling at my TV mid- 4th qtr keep running the ball straight ahead, keep pounding the ball. Nebraska was averaging 6-8 yds a carry. Keep punching and we stopped and got cute.
I have been a husker fan since the mid 70’s ever since I was about 7 years old and my god mother shared with me that she was a Tudor at UNL, for the football team, specifically for Johnny Rodgers among others. Every loss hurts……but, TODAY………stings so bad that I’m not sure I can do it anymore!🤷♂️
You have to stop saying they are beating themselves. When you have a program with a 49-68 record over the past ten years and a coach with only two career wins against ranked teams, you need to be saying they just aren't that good. If the talent was that much more superior, then 4 plays against a team on their 4th QB wouldn't have dictated the outcome.
Nebby captains refused to shake hands with the Iowa captains. Also Nebby players were walking thru the Iowa special teams warmups during pregame. Big red's disrepect is the reason they were not allowed on the logo.
Adam, I’m in total agreement with you ! Big Red has to execute better, minimize turnovers and get it done. I hope this game teaches them a lesson, but I’ve seen the same movie so many times I unfortunately question if they will ever learn anything.
So frustrating and outright disappointing. 1. We always find a way to lose. 2. The poor execution. 3. A success getting to a bowl sure. But they left so much on the table, but they just aren't a good football team. Potential to be good but they dont execute and find ways to lose.
I went to Iowa City tonight with 3 other loyal Nebraska fans. I am in disbelief, and I'm angry about the loss. We choked at the moments that were most pivotal in the game. Our special teams man.... We absolutely were better 95% of the game than Iowa. Tough loss to take. I'll be back cheering for the bowl game though. GBR!
Iowa won by three which is fitting, because they won for three reasons: 1. They could make a big play on offense breaking a big run-we couldn't. 2. They could make a big play on defense-getting the sack and fumble-we couldn't. 3. They can create an edge on special teams-getting the fumble, making big kicks-we couldn't. We need playmakers and it would help if we could get really strong in special teams as well or we will continue to lose to them like this every damn time.
@@DeBa1226 I mean, yeah, but Iowa's coaches, especially head coach, are milk toast to the max. We don't have to have the most charismatic coach, we just need ones who can make the most of what we have like they do at Iowa.
Raiola missed a throw or two. Neyor missed a catch for a big gain, maybe even a TD. We muffed a punt and didn't tackle on one play. Nebraska outplayed them on every other play of the game. Tough loss. I am still encouraged for the future.
31 points. QB and receivers are not on the same page. Is it the routes, QB not knowing how to throw the ball depending on route/coverage, our line still has issues or is it the line coach?
There's been so much excitement for Coach Holgorsen - "DO ANYTHING TO KEEP HIM" etc. Waiting to see if our emotional fans (I'm one) will make a total 180 degree turn against Holgorsen after falling in love in a few days?

Whoever the captains were that thought they were too good to shake hands should be ashamed. Absolutely disgraceful that you can’t at least win the fucking game if your too good to shake hands
You know my favorite part of the game was how on 3rd and long we kept doing short pass run plays where we would throw the ball laterally 5 to 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage. It was a great plan to try and gain 15 yards instead of just the 10 or I don't know throwing the ball down fucking field.
Saturday morning review. Floyd Richter, O'Neill Nebraska. Graduate OHS class of 1968. Played rt guard, left defensive end. Went 11 and 0. Beat Chadron 14 - 7 in homemade playoff game up there. 1. I'm not in disbelief we lost. 2. Most frustrating part about this loss is play calling, quarterback play. Holgorsen looked like last guy. Why can't we tell relievers get beyond the line of scrimmage or I won't pass to you. Way to many catches behind 6line to gain. Are you chickens. Instant failure. Defense was always right there to tackle you. You've got to get past the line to gain. You aren't getting do overs. Second most frustrating part. Put Harrberg in. Coaches have fallen in love with Raiola. He's too green, he's not a fighter, and he wants to be a cheerleader before he's done hus job. He functions like a premadonna. He's not a dual threat quarterback. Put Harrberg in at least half the time. Coach Rule has fallen in love with Raiola and it's killing us. 3. This season was an improvement but why didn't Rule have Holgorsen from the start of the season? We're red because that's catsup on our shirts. Love your take AC. You're right on on your take and love ❤️ your commentary.
I was very concerned when NU missed the field goal. I just thought that was the beginning of the end. The most frustrating part of the loss was how Nebraska tried to start playing keep away with 8 minutes left in the game. Just a terrible decision. And why does Dylan Raiola seem to just collapse mentally in the 4th quarter of close games? That’s a trait that the program has been dealing with for a long time now. The fact that it’s carried over from one coaching staff to the next is wild. 6-6 is better than 5-7. It’s baby steps, but I’m calling it a success. A very slight one. C+ max if I was grading it.
The best team is always the one that executes winning plays to impact the scoreboard. The rest doesn't matter. The better team is usually the most disciplined during the game. The better team won.
These types of wins are also frustrating. So many wins (with no real shots at any important titles) makes us slow to change anything. We get stuck with stagnant offenses year after year.
I had a feeling the whole game that, that dude would muff a punt. Even though he didn't touch the ball, the other kicks,it looked like he was having trouble fielding the balls. He went to his knees to catch punts 3 times. I knew something was going to happen
I thought the same thing. From the start I knew I would happen. He was diving and hitting to ground on each catch. Iowa played field position on the punts and waited for the Huskers to make a mistake. Perfect Iowa football! Don’t forget about the shanked punt from husker punter.
I'm personally over the program. I paid for cable the last 10 years only for Nebraska football. Ive attended nearly 70 games. Gotta believe the buskers will have 8 wins next year tho .
1. No, not surprised Nebraska lost because on your Iowa prediction video I commented, “Win the field position battle. Don't beat yourself with penalties, turnovers and poor special teams which give Iowa a short field. Make Iowa drive the length of the field to score.” Obviously, Nebraska failed to do those things. 2. Most frustrating part is knowing who Iowa is and how they play and the coaches still fell for it along with poor offensive line and special teams play again! FIRE DONOVAN RAIOLA & ED FOLEY!!! 3. The regular season will be a success if Donovan Raiola, Ed Foley and Garret McGuire are fired. I'm tired of getting frustrated and watching them lose in games that are this close. Play calling still needs improvement. I'm right with you on the reaction! GBR!!
I was messaging with my uncle at halftime, we both knew that our defense would hold strong, we held the 2nd best runningback in the nation for everything but 1 play. Defense did their job, our offense lost the game, our tackles couldn't do anything to stop their edges. I love our team and what Dana has done in just 3 weeks but damn how do you not put a TE chip on their best pass rushers on one of the most important drives of the game. should we have needed a game winning drive HELL no our offense died in the second half. GBR
I was not surprised. I think going to a bowl game is a sign of success. I also think continuing to lose games (esp one score games) that are winnable is a sign of lack of success. So I think Coach Rhule has had some measure of success but next year he must show improvement over these types of losses.
Carriker, did you ever run track? Because you seem to be saying that the guy who led most of the race is the best runner regardless of how many guys pass him in the last 50 yards. The finish line decides who is better in track and the scoreboard determines who is better in football.
Matt Rhule's expectations of games going down to the very end, and the expectation that our toughness that will win is old stuff. He lets the clock run down by huddling late, and it has become self fulfilling prophecy. Why can't we follow the template of great halftime adjustments, and usually a win. We play not to lose period.

FIRE DONOVAN RAIOLA!!! In Donovan Raiola’s first two seasons there were ZERO offensive linemen from Nebraska on any of the B1G first, second or third teams and it is unlikely there will be any this year either.
Fuck Cancer! Keep up the fight Greg Sharpe! My wife is in a large cancer battle. Let’s find a cure! Try to enjoy each day and hug your loved one’s tight! Life can change in 24 frames!
Love it.
I was at the game. I will say that Rhule was trying to call a timeout. He had to run to the side judge to get it at the numbers.
Rhule screwed up and didn't go for the 1st down and instead pu to to Iowa!! That was the turning point of the game!! Iowa scores!!
My judge of a winning and losing season depends on Nebraska winning or losing the Iowa game so the last 2 years for me losing seasons
How bout the last 9/10
Gonna suck in 15 bowl practices where there will be 8 hours of prevention of ball stripping per practice.
Fumbled four times, lucky Iowa didn't get all of them.
Beat ourselves and it falls on Rhule for the lack of discipline.
It falls on Raiola for a lack of urgency and intensity. Every current WR can just get lost. Maybe we should post on Indeed for a good running back.
It’s so amazing how we’ve blown so many games. The fans are really upset, but I can’t imagine how upset the former players are.
I still hate that kickoff fumble that wasn't that blows my mind, they looked at it for over 5 minutes, and that would have nuked 3 of the points Iowa scored. Iowa touched the ball first.....
ya, i want an explanation on that one! Ref delivered the verdict with no explanation!
No
🙏🏾 G Sharpe, missed you today.
GBR🏈
Very positive outlook.
We are going to the Toilet Bowl so we can take another shit!! Totally not practicing the way they should be!!
How many more stupid ways can we find to lose!
Were you in the field? Didn't see you out there.
Good point.
Finally we all can shut the TV off and get out and go duck and goose hunting. The Cornhuskers can go back to the locker room.
How come you did not mention the nebraska players not shaking hands with the Iowa captains before the game. Please explain this I would really like to hear the explanation.
That was because Iowa had popos blocking the huskers from praying at midfield before the game. Iowa was petty, so nebraska got petty.
didn't they fist bump? - i didn't see that there was a rejection of an outstretched hand, for a handshake? Iowa has been classless in the past the way they treated NU after one of these types of close victories.
Iowa taunted them off their own field last year. Iowa blocked them from their pre game prayer with police. Why should they shake hands?
I address it in my show I just recorded that's going out Sunday. morning.
@@johnwayne9828you can pray anywhere on the field except the logo. After what happened at Ohio State and Arizona you can probably understand why.
Thank you for another great video.
Thanks.
@@huskerfanman 💯
EXACTLY! I was yelling "run the damn ball" instead they go east-west for nothing
This WAS OUR Game to Lose!!
We controlled the game but never TOOK control
great way to state it
Absolutely.
The curse of the cornhuskers continues
I love watching your summary because you literally say everything I am saying. Including how terrible Colt was at calling the game. 😂
Not sure what rhule has to do with Nebraska's record over the past decade but act like he's been the coach 10 years. ok.
I don't need to pray on the logo do you? Classless on not shaking hands!
Nebby captains refused to shake hands with the Iowa captains. Also Nebby players were walking thru the Iowa special teams warmups during pregame. Big red's disrepect is the reason they were not allowed on the logo.
Matt Rhule is a Dumpster Fire!
Adam, I’m in total agreement with you ! Big Red has to execute better, minimize turnovers and get it done. I hope this game teaches them a lesson, but I’ve seen the same movie so many times I unfortunately question if they will ever learn anything.
It's so tough.
Nebraska being Nebraska
GBR!
Very tough to take.
Iowa knew they only needed five FD's
Iowa won by three which is fitting, because they won for three reasons:
Absolutely.
@@robertepperson2294 And had a bad snap that caused an easy missed field goal.
Offensive performance was a fucking joke. Should have had 35 points
FIRE DONOVAN RAIOLA!!! In Donovan Raiola’s first two seasons there were ZERO offensive linemen from Nebraska on any of the B1G first, second or third teams and it is unlikely there will be any this year either.
As an Iowa fan, i couldnt have scripted a game that would be more heatbreaking to Husker fans than what actually happened. What a sh!tshow.
Since when does the classiest team with the classiest fans, not shake hands during the pre-game coin flip? Nebraska had to accept a lot of losing over the last few years but when you do stuff like that, you are Losers!
We lost because of OUR mistakes. If we didn't have the Mistakes all the numbers say we should have won.
Hire Bo Back
gonna be a force to be reckoned with next season !!
Whoever the captains were that thought they were too good to shake hands should be ashamed. Absolutely disgraceful that you can’t at least win the fucking game if your too good to shake hands
DID I see RIGHT??? NO handshake from Nebraska players at the coin toss- no handshake from Nebraska players??? If SO - !!!!!
Time for Nebraska to move to Conference USA or Mountain West or be able to play Kent State or Kennesaw State every week.
Fair.
Raiola will now enter the transfer portal after the bowl-if we indeed get to go to a bowl.
He’s not going anywhere.
Would people shut up about the portal. Jesus. Enough. He’s not. Move on.
What happens to the million dollars he's making if he leaves?
@@jimc4839hed make it somewhere else.
I love my annual listen to the Cracker Barrel Chronicles. Throw the “BOANES”
@@jtmp126yep I saw it coming. But I had a little hope with the way our defense was playing. Now I'm hearing Tony White is leaving. Hopefully not
I'm personally over the program. I paid for cable the last 10 years only for Nebraska football. Ive attended nearly 70 games. Ive tailgated I've spent money at the games I'm done supporting the program until they really do fix shit. I have plenty of other things i can be doing then getting my heart rate elevated and angry on a Saturday. They have plenty of fans and some other moron will be happy to step in for me and keep giving this less than mediocre team money and time. Won't be watching the bowl game, and i really don't care about the outcome anymore.
Cool. Go be a prime fan. And don't come back.

@huskers1278. A Ton fo us are in the same boat as you! I'm sick of the pathetic coaching and crap in general . That said, GREAT JOB ADAM C. !
Our defense gave up 7 points and we lost 😂
I was nervous the whole game but thought we would find a way to win. Throw the bones!!
Great Offensive output!
Special teams play hurt us bad though. Defense was spectacular except for one play.
Bowl game will be interesting.
Hope the Officiating will not be against us there.
Next year we better have a different Special Teams coach because we will have a monster of a team!
On the Iowa run they were pulling the nebraska players to the ground
Again FWIW, Iowa has like the 12th-5th most players in the NFL.
Iowa W/27, Nebbie w/14 Nebraska hasn’t had more talent than Iowa in a decade 🤷♂️
1. Yes and no 2. We beat ourselves again. 3. YES.= BOWL GAME
TTB
Great video from an Iowa fan . The statement Iowa touched the ball first is really funny when you said it didn’t matter what color of shirt you wear , because it does ! I didn’t see anything positive of that case , the video couldn’t show it that close so it’s all to do with the color of your shirt . When I saw it I thought it could go either way . Bad season for the hawks in my opinion . Should have only lost one to the bucks teeth eyes . I believe iowa loses at Lincoln next year , we lose a lot of seniors and much tougher schedule . Gotta believe the buskers will have 8 wins next year tho .
Do you think Riola will stay @ neb. ?
Why would he leave? Fools think he leaves
In Donovan Raiola’s first two seasons there were ZERO offensive linemen from Nebraska on any of the B1G first, second or third teams and it is unlikely there will be any this year either.
GBR
Special Teams and Benhart. Letdown after letdown.
Not a good day for Husker sports.
To the Nebraska captains not shaking hands and stalling Iowa marching band! And Jay Higgins shaking your coaches hand at end of game! Priceless!!!!!!😂
Never an excuse for a lack of sportsmanship or character.
I was not surprised. I think going to a bowl game is a sign of success. I also think continuing to lose games (esp one score games) that are winnable is a sign of lack of success. So I think Coach Rhule has had some measure of success but next year he must show improvement over these types of losses.
The problem is that the players don't give a crap. It's a different world. Self gloss is all that matters now.
Once again Nebraska snatches defeat from the jaws of victory.
If Karma exists, Nebraska is going to receive some extraordinary good luck very soon.
Carriker, did you ever run track? Because you seem to be saying that the guy who led most of the race is the best runner regardless of how many guys pass him in the last 50 yards. The finish line decides who is better in track and the scoreboard determines who is better in football.
Raiola has no clue what ball security is when he runs with it, apparently he’s afraid to get hit!
Sickening. 334 yards to 164 yards. 5 IA first downs. They still managed to lose. We should be used to this, but this one was especially bad.
Just crazy.
On Caleb's big run after the catch, if your #9 hadn't tackled their own dude, you likely win that one. 🤣🤝
I think I accidentally clicked on one of the last 8 years’ gut reaction video
This is on the coaches. Not just this game but this entire season.
Big touch at our goal😮
I said to myself, thats the ball game!
There's got to be a
