This is the main reason I haven't started macrame. (I didn't realize it until now) I didn't know how long to make my cords. I was worried about getting into a project just to find that I hadn't calculated the length right. Thank you so so so very much!!! I'm guessing it's possible with many kinds of knots now??? Are there any I need to look out for? (To know that I need to make those changes before starting???)
I had to muddle my way through that problem today… I used a larks head knot to continue the pattern and it matched seamlessly. Sometimes a double half hitch will work.

Yes, it's possible with many types of knots, but the principle is similar / don't be afraid :) try something simple in macrame!
