the tongue or danish oil will form a finish on the wood, it will cross link and dry versus linseed oil that will stay wet, but seals the wood by being an oil. protects from water damage. I do not know what grit of paper on the cured oil that will not go through the coating and leave bear spots. very nice video!
@@DTRBrianMallard Glad to hear that Brian. Btw, is that oil a food safe oil or do you need to poly it also? I have a couple of pallets and thinking of doing something like what you are in my kitchen.
The kitchen island is looking amazing, you've done a fantastic job Brian. It's going to look stunning in your beautiful home 💞
Hiya! It's great to see what others can achieve by watching someone else do it first! I'm impressed!
I'm not usually into watching people polish furniture, but you great personality makes me want to

Thanks for the info. I ended up not sanding after applying the oil. So far so good
Looks fantastic! But shouldn’t Brian have gloves on when applying the oil??
@@Artist6135 i thought about that, I washed my hands a lot immediately after

@@DTRBrianMallard Thank you Brian!!
@@Artist6135 you're welcome!
If you do rollers the track will stick out way too long won’t they?? How will you be able to get into it if track isn’t long enough??
@joannewendt1792 that's a really good question and one we'll be addressing in the next video and beyond
