That idea is GENIUS!!!! 😃👊 TIP: With the metal clamp clips, 1 of 2 things can help (they’re so cheap & easy to find everywhere in various sizes so worth doing IMO, even to have as backups).. If using fabric backdrops or when denting isn’t an issue, you can deliberately pull those rubber ends off & reapply them with a dab of glue so loosing the tips won’t be an issue If denting is an issue, you can buy rolls of foam tape super cheap, or even those tiny “foam craft squares/dots” (sometimes sold as “photo squares/dots”) & add some on the inside of the teeth as a buffer. Just read carefully when buying foam tape options. Be sure to buy single-side adhesive ones, not double sided adhesive & also check the thickness too, there’s lots of thicknesses. Don’t want it so thick it’s a struggle to get your backdrops in & out or so thin it’s useless after a few uses
I like to give myself a few feet on each side of everything I want in my photo. That being said if you are in a tight spot you can also extend the backdrop in post. This is easier if you use a solid background and then add the texture in post after you extend it. Hope this helps!
Hay buddy. Let me try to sale you a 2021 New car but don’t open the door and let you sit inside. And tell me how you would feel. Open the backdrop bro and set it up.
Is it just me, or was this video not at all about “choosing the best backdrop”? If you wanted to make a commercial for that “magna system” or whatever, you should have said so in the title. Don’t make bait man. And you don’t even show the one backdrop that WAS in the video. 🤦🏽♂️
more then half of the video not talking about backdrops, but mount systems. then talking about paper vs. vinyl and not even mentioning other options. I expected more on and about the topic.
Cheap vinyl flooring makes a great budget option with a crazy amount of prints available
After watching this video I still dont know whats the right backdrop for certain case. all I saw is adds for backdrops
What do you photograph?
You should have linked to the products

ah ha. I have been using magnets taped on the wall and using mated magnets for attaching my backdrops. I guess I was on the right track.

Cool.... Thanks for sharing
nice video. What type of backdrops do you take on location? thx
If we are shooting headshots we will take either a seamless savage paper, or the Westcott X-Drop

Do you know if the magnets work with vinyl?

The will hold up vinyl backgrounds with no issue
