One of the mechanics they added... When a pal has all of its moves on cooldown, it will use its lowest power move. That is why you were shooting small balls... Something to do while the big moves were on cooldown.
Because player damage has been capped for the last 2 releases (no way to get it over ~500), but pals keep getting stronger. Some pals are approaching Player dps numbers.
There’s a guy (the pal professor on TH-cam) who has tested a lot of the moves in the game. Apparently dark cannon is one of the best due to its 2 second cooldown.
I agree with this. Drop Lord of the Underworld and put in Serenity. More Moves = More Damage. 30% Cooldown is better than anything that is 20% damage wise if I remember correctly.
Yeah apparently they made it so Pals will use one of their weak attacks while waiting for the cooldown of the the other attacks, or something like that.
I find it impossible for a pal to solo Victor and Shadowbeak. The only time I was able to even beat them is if I use a Vanguard Gobfin team and a chillet as a mount, but I don't find that way of playstyle to be fun though. Maybe I'll try to IV the splatterina with the stat fruits and see how I do, lol
invader from xeno lord does 30% dark and dragon dmg boost so might be better to put that on her. (legend with 20% atk and def seems good too Invader, Siren, Legend, Demon God)
Vampiric Anubis with serenity is amazing, the biggest downside of Anubis was the long cooldown of his 3 unique attacks, Serenity removes that downside.
In short, Its because time limits. You need them to die with in 10 minutes. Also with few exceptions the damage gained by getting an extra attack or two in is less than what you would have gotten with a 4th damage boosting trait. That said its a wonder for an "exploring pal".
It’s because vampiric doesn’t scale very well against the strongest things in the game (oil rig NPCs and Ultra Raids). The pals either get one shot or take so much damage that vampiric can’t outheal it. If they’re going to die anyways might as well have them go out with a bang.

Yeah having good IV stats help a lot but are a pain in the butt to do unless you have a lot of stat fruit, anyways good luck with your build.

Serenity, Demongod, siren, invader is probably the highest dps for a dark pal. 100*1.4*1.6 is 224% base damage with a 30% cooldown reduction.
i don't get why poeple ingore vampiric... only looking at damage. Demon god, vampiric, legend, serenity is one of the better passives

I do have some builds with Vampiric but they are usually on my battle mounts.
I'm thinking her Dark Whisp skill, Holy Burst and Air Blade would be strong on her.

call me an idiot but how is splatterina only considered "ok" when it solo'd victor and shadow beak?
She needed a full team of Hoocrates using all the remaining pal slots and also food to defeat victor and shadowbeak.
She didn't solo them.
