I prefer Anubis with Nocturnal/Vampiric just because it can mine in the background while he's idling which I think is much better than lumbering and medicine combined.

I mostly removed almost everything other than mining, watering, kindling, and crafting stations and just buy mats from merchants instead of running farms and ranches. Well, other than a ranch with bees on my breeding base. The coin crafting station is op.
I prefer Anubis too! I run a few Blaz Ryu, Anubis, Astegon. Max condense but I’m still working on pal soul investment. Anubis is the king of transporting, so speedy. Mines on the side too. Love em!
There’s a couple of combinations to get splatterina Incineram and broncherry work Even crazy combos like depresso and necromus can give you a splatterina😂

You can use the monitoring stand to disable pals from doing certain tasks you don't want. Put out a couple pals that focus entirely on transport, then disable her transport if you want her to only craft
I just finished condensing up batch of splatterina with the same passives, but as a single player i think I'm going back to Anubis. I'm assuming in food supplies anyway so that's not a big deal, i sleep the night away, and Anubis mining when I'm not using them for handiwork is more useful than her other skills.
I did the same and even with more work speed in place of nocturnal, I just don’t like splatt as much. Anubis transports faster, mines in the background, and I just like em 😂
She is good, but i only replace 1 Anubis for Splatterina for Med production. food not an issues when you reach 30+ most base with Anubis around also mine ore.
Boost Bellanoir handywork with the new books and you get an even better maid for your base. She's much faster transporting than Splatterina, almost comparable to Anubis.
I honestly love how we are getting more humanoid pals just for the one reason i like my base to look like a base and pals just cant handle that they get stuck constantly especially considering most of them are the size of cars i cant wait to for more small pal options.
I wish they'd fix the pathing it's much better. And now we have blazamut Ryu for cooking. And Felaris Aqua for water. But Felaris isn't much better than Jormantide. If it wasn't the best transporter in terms of speed... Well, at least the main culprits Jormantide and ignis are out. Now we can swap astagon and Jormantide ignis for Blazamut Ryu. And Felaris (transporting) Jormantide (water) for Felaris Aqua. Not only saving on slots but also making bases run a bit more smoothly.
@@TheNameTag I have had massive issues using felaris aqua while yes its great and it can multi task but my god does it go bird brain when theres something to carry if your farming the normal way its fine but if you have a stacked farm he will never water lol
I was going to breed some splatterinas to replace my anubis, but then I looked at her transport speed and instantly decided against it. Splatterina's transport speed is 180 verses anubis at 480. 500 is the highest transport speed in the game which is reserved to only the faleris and faleris aqua. So it honestly feels like she wastes space when she isn't needed for handiwork, either you waste alot of her time waddling around, or turn off transport and she does nothing. It's disappointing because I did want an easy 5 star dark handiwork pal (saelyn has the same issue with 275 transport speed.) The only pal that comes close to anubis and dark typing is Nyafia, has 400 transport speed, but is lvl 3 handiwork. So you will need to condense to 4, and use a book to get to 5. But still has the downside of mining swapping to lumbering. But, if you want a pure handiwork/transporter when not working, I think it is just anubis, until you can get enough books to have some nyafia. Even then you'd still prob run an anubis here and there for extra free mining if needed in downtime.
Wow I wish we had that type of information on console just for comparisons. I like having a variety of pals and just like running different ones for the aesthetic but very good points made here if your looking for efficiency on daytime up time. I think pocket pair knew this going in and because she is a nocturnal pal they nerfed her so she would be absolutely broken. Which makes sense if you’re trying to balance which pals and when to use them. But thanks for sharing I love having this type of info. I love the pal tho and personally wanted more variety then Anubis for handiwork pals

Personally I don't keep a Handiwork pal on base at all times if I need to craft something I'll pull them out. So nocturnal doesn’t matter. And food consumption isn’t big. The thing with Anubis is that he can function as an extra miner if needed. I don't need a wood producer or a medicine maker, so she's kinda useless. Nor do I butcher pals. Haven't done that once. I mean, I seriously don't understand the hype of nocturnal pals. The only pal I think is worth nocturnal is an ice pal to keep my fridge on all times. Just sleep. It's that simple. What are you doing at night anyway. The game gets harder to see. Also, in standard setting, night isn’t even as long as day. It's much shorter. Just let your pals sleep.
Splatterina is a Dark pal - they don't need Nocturnal. All Dark pals never sleep. Hence why she can be slightly more useful than Anubis who would need Nocturnal/Vampiric, and that's a wasted trait slot you can use for more work speed.

I wish Splatterina had Mining, even if it were just Mining 2 or 3. As it stands Anubis and Selyne kind of outdo her -- moreso if we get blessed with an Anubis Noct. There aren't High Resource trees in the game to make powerful lumberers a necessity. Yet.
I think they DEVs have something to work out with the transporting this time around. I found after the recent my pals basically only transport and abandon all other abilities. I will have something on the assembly lines and no one will come work on it, but I will find them transporting stone with an extreme focus. I know I can just use the monitoring stand but I don’t want to rely on it so much, I used to just leave my base and it would run smoothly. Now pals will just abandon tasks when they used to sort of teleport to it when they couldn’t get to the object

Two different use cases I'd say. Splatterina is easier to get. Can be bred by easier combinations. Can be found from overworld eggs (and they're commons, so hatch times are very low). Quite good value if all you want is just a good handiwork pal. Nocturnal by nature (so RNG elements are of no consequence). Freakishly good in early game. Anubis has some cool things going for it though. For one it has 3 mining, so good second-skill. Breeding an Anubis nets you a good stepping stone for other pals (Vanwyrm + Azurobe/Cinnamoth = Anubis + Vanwyrm = Faleris for example). Has more speed too in case you want to let it truly multitask. They're both good, and it kinda just depends on what and how you're progressing anyway. I do new playthroughs often and just figure out routes for fun. Splatterina is interesting to me because its also a passive Faleris Aqua hunt (who besides watering is also one of the best transporters in the game, despite the lvl of the skill). That, and the thing hatching from common eggs is pure blissful luxury.

You can’t only XL training manuals and a lot of gold that’s no dog coins I use mimog to farm XL training manuals for new pals that I hatch level them up instantly like I did in the video.
It’s funny I have gone over to suzaku and get the legendary schematic all the time I have a whole chest full of them however I thought it was a shot gun? The assault rifle I think is blazamut
@ that’s an excellent questions I’m currently still breed perfect pals for different teams and synergies so I have even challenged the Raid boss I have done the hard bosses however but when I get through that content and discover more I’ll will be more then happy to share all I learn and know. Planning on tackling some of that this weekend actually. Almost done with all my demon god and vampiric breeding
I honestly think that Splatterina is overrated for all the hype she's getting. Yes, being a dark type means she's naturally nocturnal, but she compares best to Anubis in terms of handiwork, and for me at least I rarely find that I have enough handiwork tasks that necessitate overnight work (I also play on near base setting, so no weightless items and super resource node rates and 25 pals per base currently); nocturnal pals I feel are best for tasks that are functionally always going on, like resource mines and farming where it's all passive production. Splatterina, when not working on active production, only has good transport and mediocre logging, and my Shroomer Nocts provide the sanity reduction while at base and provide 24/7 logging with the same skill a Splatterina would, and medicine production you can sort of just bring in a good worker on demand for that. So when she's not working, she's likely only transporting. Anubis, on the other hand, may not be the best miner, but lvl 3 is still solid, and it means that whenever you don't have production actively going, they're working all the mining sites while you're doing other things, which I find more useful. And yes, I know Astegon is the meta miner, but Anubis has better versatility if you're trying to keep your base pal count on the lower side. Now, I will grant her partner skill is potentially really good for resources depending on how it works, provided level 5 partner skill isn't just something like "25% chance for an additional drop" or something.
That spoiler alert on that partner skill be doing some testing is extremely good but the rng of it is kinda low I was testing it just a little bit against the conveyor to see if it’s worth the time to butcher pals. If you’re trying to get something specific and it pops it’s awesome but if it doesn’t pop then nah kinda underwhelming. Love your opinion about splatterina over all. I didn’t know she was getting hype? To be honest I like the pal a lot and enjoy new pals in some of my bases to switch things ups a bit personally

As for Splatterina I have no real idea how her partner skill actually works; they're all pretty vaguely worded which can be kind of annoying. Like how much extra attack does Gobfin give you, and how much does Prunelia increase your yields? There's no real way to tell without digging into the game files or trying to reverse engineer the math after the fact, which makes it harder to decide if something's worth investing in if you're not just following guides.
Honestly I still think Anubis is better the handi work is pretty insane already and having mining is better than wood cutting you content creators are really stretching to say splaterina is better

With the applied sustainability techniques books anubis can now go level 5 mining.
Selyne also has level 4 handicraft but higher tier transportation at level 3 while eating the same amount as Splatterina.
Just so you know, you can breed an Anubis with a Reindrix to get a Splatterina.
