@@andybguitarist You can't really get the original Tom's guitar tone without the Marshall involved. Every time you do palm mutes the mesa just goes fuzzy without having that crazy solid cut definition as you hear it on those records. To be fair, it's most likely not just the blend with the Marshall pres that achieves that as there was a lot of Jerry Finn's magic done behind the scenes. I've never actually seen anybody to be able to recreate that tone when it comes to those chugs.

Your toypaj tone is fire!!! Sounds so good!
I had a dual rec for a few years but we had our daughter and what was once my music room with my Mesa is now her room 😞😂
So I kept my Tom Sig fender and bought a fender mustang modelling amp for our bedroom
The mustang has a Mesa boogie setting which I can get so close to the blink tone but will never sound as sweet as the sound I had on the dual rec. but it’s a pretty versatile little amp as it has every amp you can think of on the tone menu so I can use the vox setting for neighbourhoods etc…
    Great video 👌

Bro, your set up is the tits! Im impressed with your whole set up. I didn't know Tom used 10-52, but I happen to use them myself. I don't have a Tom DeLonge signature strat, but I have a hot rod red 2001 Fender American strat that I've had since it was new. (When the fuck did I get old? Lol) I have installed a Duncan Invader bridge only with only a single push/pull volume pot with it coil split. All new black hardware with the new fender black locking tuners, maple neck. I absolutely love everything about it! I run a Peavey 410 ultratube amp. Not a Tom Delounge kinda tone really, but I love how hard 10" speakers hit when palm muting.
