    Jeeeeeez. The tail tidy is the first thing anyone should change on their bike but man, it always surprises me just how much of a change they make!

    Nice! I installed my Evotech a couple of months ago. They sure have the wiring tight in there.
    I remember when motorcycles had room under the seat for a bunch of stuff. I guess that is not the case these days.

    Picked my bike up on Thursday. Soon as I got home I did my tail tidy. It got me swearing a couple times. Those wires and that bloody grommet haha

    Nice video and very informative. 5:32 that grease is to stop potential corrosion of the connectors btw

    I just now installed one myself, and I dont know why you pulled the harness-cable up through the hole when you just could've pulled the one connector down through the hole and the harness would be free :)

    I would add some anti seize on those bolts going into the tail to prevent corrosion.
    Also, that isn’t grease to keep the dust out, it is silicone to keep the water out.
    Just food for thought.

    • @sergeantsodom6969
      @sergeantsodom6969  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers for the comment,
      Pointless adding anti-seize. Once the screws are in place, water wont work itself upward despite capillary action- the loctite will do fine.
      Also rgd the dirt (not dust) is why I added 'water*' as subtext to correct my mistake. Doesn't feel like silicone, and smelt of grease.

    Jesus christ your moto plates are larger than our car plates here in Canada. Screws up the "tidiness'" for sure!

    • @sergeantsodom6969
      @sergeantsodom6969  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And this is classed as illegal, our standards are 9", massive!

      @@sergeantsodom6969 Whoaaa... our plates may be physically smaller here, but the price for licenses, registrations and insurances are exorbitant!

    Glad I went with the evotech now, there is no way I could cope with the wires all hanging, great video tho

    • @sergeantsodom6969

      The wires aren't hanging, if you watch the video

    • @sinisterd
      @sinisterd 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could see all the wiring to all the lights, there are none with the evotech it's all inside the tail tidy, no wires at all, it might just be me I'm fussy 😁

      @@sinisterd Oh I see what you mean, the fact you can see the wires- not that theyre hanging loose. Fair does I hope you enjoy your evotech! Though Im not paying £200 for one

    Nice. I went with the trust engineering one. Looks like it needs to be bent down a little? Plate sits a bit too much towards the horizontal?

    I'm thinking about taking that whole plate holder blinker and lights off all together and rigging up a plate holder with some plumbers tape just enough to have my plate seem but no blinkers, do you think after taking that off it is possible to just push the wires up into the bike or would there be wires hanging out. I don't like any of the tail tidys out right now and I'm trying to get rid of that bulbous thing hanging off the back. Let me know what you think if you understand what I'm saying lol

    • @sergeantsodom6969
      @sergeantsodom6969  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I kindof get you but that would be sketchy, but yeah theres enough room to get the wiring back up I'd say
