a while ago you asked if your videos are good or not, people love your videos because you give every detail about the cars you review. There are already alot of channels that talk about how it drives and handle, but they never mention what the cars are like in parts of what this car has! But you are covering this part which makes your channel the best, great job my friend.
Awesome car Kyle, the Charger R/T is by far one of the best cars you can buy today. Big power, killer options, great fuel economy and wicked ride / handling.
I stay in Myrtle Beach man but if I ever run into you out and about im ganna flag you down and shake your hand. Im really proud of you, you have been working so hard, graduated and everything. Your deserve it all brother, I wish you success in everything you do. Keep doing well man.
Thanks, kid. I just bought a 2013 RT just like the one you showcase. Your video saved me from having to read the owners manual! Really well done and very informative. It is a freakin' great car!
I liked the in-depth explanations of all the features, large and small. Really gives one a feel for all the special items that one might otherwise miss.
I haven't watched one of your videos in a long time Kyle and I must say - WOW! You have changed a lot since those old cold starts at your family's dealership. You really are going from strength to strength with these reviews. Keep them coming!
So Kyle, with the multitude of cars you review, this one stood out among the crowd enough that you chose it as your own? Pretty strong statement there for me; I was on the fence between this, a loaded '13 accord touring, or a used Taurus SHO, but this review and the incredible attention to detail Dodge put into this interior may have swung me to an RT Max Charger. Great work as always, keep it up, and enjoy that new ride!
@@mortale I have a 2011 charger rt and I havent had to worry about anything. Only something aesthetically which was just the spoiler coming loose but other than that its the best car Ive ever had, so I figure the 2012 improves on everything than the 2011
My 06 charger recently got totaled due to a drunk driver. I've been debating between the challenger and charger but this video has me sold! charger it is! Great video man.
I was never a big fan of this car but after seeing what a great job they did with this redesign, I like it a lot. I am especially impressed with the touchscreen infotainment system that Chrysler uses, it really is excellent. As well as the quality and design of the interior. Really cool car Kyle, great buy!
Great review, I've been watching it to get familiar with my 2014 Charger. One decent thing that you left out is how the proximity sensor in the key makes it impossible to lock the fob in the car! The door wont lock and if in the trunk, the trunk will pop back open
I Like This Charger Much Better Than The Outgoing Model That It Replaces. And I Love The Rear Tail Lights At Night. Looks Like A Cool Pair Of "Star Trek" Shades.
No it's an Alpine. It's a fantastic audio system - 9 speakers including a subwoofer and 506 watts! By far one of the best I've ever heard in a car, I have the same one in my 2013 Dodge Dart. While it's the best audio system you can get in the Dart, it's standard in the Charger R/T and there's two others that are optional. So you already get a great sound system for no charge which is really nice!
This was a thorough review and I appreciate your effort in putting it together. I was in the market for an AWD sports sedan and after watching this video was convinced that Dodge had nailed it. I visited the dealer with every intention of purchasing a used 2012 with the right options but ended up underwhelmed. It looked great and offered many interesting features, but I found it too large and loose (steering, etc.) and was disappointed by fit and finish so went with a 2010 G37x Sport instead.
Its not bad. It has been snowing here sporadically for a few weeks, but the car handles well. Its probably because its heavy, but you always feel in control as long as TC is on. For obvious reasons sometimes taking off from a stop will kick the end out, but once you are going it grips well. I have driven a WS-6 Trans Am in the snow 3-4 times. Now that was frustrating. Wasn't by choice, but I felt I could control anything afterwards. Actually, this handles better than a Ram 1500 Hemi too.
Your videos are beginning to look more like what you would see on a TV special. Good job man. And if I were to buy a new new car it would most likely be one of these.
Great review. I have the '12 charger RT Max AWD. Quality is just as described and best car I have purchased. AWD is amazing. Wish the badging reflected this as the "Max" package. Highly recommend if you like.
I am a GM man but I do like the 2011 - 2015 Dodge Chargers. It looks like they got it right with the styling inside and out but I wish they made the car about 400 to 500 lbs. lighter. I also wish that they bring it back to the original 2 door that it was in the 60's and 70's.
I have had the privilege to drive both and in my honest opinion the 2010 Coupe is great man, you can't deny that, but it does not compare to this new line-up of Chargers, Dodge has cleaned up it's act and it really shows.
very good review, dodge should pay you for encouraging a lot of people to buy this car. Well because you encouraged me. Planning to buy this car next month.
Nice job with the video! Chargers are nice cars, even the 1960's ones.My brother had a 68RT. I drive an 05 RT Magnum, makes you wonder how nice the Magnum would have turned out. Magnum has almost 260,000 miles now, best car that I've ever owned. 14 mpg, you must have really been having fun, my car averages around 22 mpg!
I'm a purist when it comes to mopars, I like the old mopars of the late 60s and early to mid 70s. These cars are genuinely wonderful vehicles and in many ways worthy successors to the charger name.
Amazing car. I didn't really like the 2006-2010 Chargers because of the sub-par interior. Now that Fiat has got hold of Chrysler, it looks like the interior is now world class. Once again, congrats on a beautiful car and nice license plate! :)
So I have to ask Kyle, you review hundreds of these cars per year. You sound like you pretty much know everything you need to about them, and you chose this car to own for yourself. So my question is, what is it about this car that made it the one for you? Sorry if you already answered this somewhere else. Thanks
I got one of these from my rental company (business related) and was disappointed that they gave me a dodge. After a week I love it! And I got the base model. I Bet the upgrades really as to it. Nice car!
I hope Dodge comes up with a successful re-design of this car - the interior is nice - the exterior has nothing in common with the original Charger other than the attempt at the "single tail lamp" design (is there anyone over 50 on your design team?). I applaud Dodge for having the only rwd family 4 door muscle car though - it is a needed segment that other car manufacturers have become ignorant to in the quest for better gas mileage. But if this car had a significant design change it would be a major game changer. The 2010 Chrysler 300 was a work of geneous - do the same for this car Dodge....

And that's a good thing. Having owned over 40 vehicles from 1965 to 2010 models, unequivocally, new cars are better. Safety, performance, handling and fuel efficiency are all light years better than cars in the 60s, 70s, 80s etc.
James D While I agree with you, I also have to disagree. While safety has been improved, it is only the vehicle itself that has become more safe, not the person operating it. Back in the day when you hopped in a 68 charger or any other vehicle of that era you were on the ball at ALL TIMES. One wrong move in a car like that and your toast, no frills. Today cars give you more room for error, power brakes, power steering, etc; which may sound like a good thing, but in the wrong hands can make someone more apt to take a risk. While cars are becoming more safe, a lot of people are not; specifically because of that reason. Why do you think there are 20 times more vehicle related deaths today, than back in the 60's 70's and 80's. It seems people treat cars more like lightweight toys nowadays, rather than the potential "weapons" they really are, and I blame that on the quality with which these plastic cars are made of today. I'll stick with a whip that was built to live forever. (just my two cents)
Sorry, but the facts don't back up your assertion. Firstly, cars are lasting longer than ever. In the 70s, the average age of a car was 6 years before it was junked, often due to being rusted out, or just worn out. Keep in mind most cars weren't classic or collectible. Adjusted for inflation, cars now cost less than they did in the 1970s. Secondly, accident rates are lower now than they ever have been, even taking into account the increase in number of cars on the road. There was an average of 21.407 deaths per 100000 population in the USA during the 1960s, 23.216 during the 1970s, 19.449 during the 1980s, 15.904 during the 1990s, and 14.012 for 2000-2010, and 10.62 per 100000 since then. There's twice as much population in the USA since the 1960s, and the accident fatality rate per 100000 people is less than half of what it was in the 1960s and 1970s. In other words, the number of fatalities in motor vehicle accidents is roughly the same as it was 40 years ago, but the population has doubled, and the number of vehicles have more than doubled. Sorry, but the facts don't back up your assertion. Firstly, cars are lasting longer than ever. In the 70s, the average age of a car was 6 years before it was junked, often due to being rusted out, or just worn out. Keep in mind most cars weren't classic or collectible. In the 80s, the average age was 8 years, in the 90s 10 years, now it's 13 years. It's not because cars are that much more expensive, either. James D The reason cars from that era didn't last long was because the gas quality was terrible.
