Lol same. It's still good to do if you know it all because it primes your head to get used to working with numbers again and you may also be exposed to some different (maybe more efficient) ways of doing things. I know that the more I practice extremely simple arithmetic, the less I have to think about doing it and the faster I become. It lets you free up mental space for the new material as arithmetic is the foundation underlying all higher level math.
I studied in Cuba, it was taught to me way different to this, but I had all the questions right ✅ . I'm studying to pass ACCUPLACER and start studying here in the USA 🇺🇸
For comparing fraction inequalities, I like to use the method of cross multiplying. 3/5 compared to 4/7 you can multiply both sides by 35 and now clearly 21 is larger than 20, therefore the original left side(3/5) was greater than the original right side(4/7)
Long division can be time consuming! 5/8 compare to 3/5 you can multiply both by 40, and, clearly, 25 is more than 24, therefore 5/8 is greater than 3/5
I just checked your channel and you are everything that engineers need. Which course/ bachelor degree and major did you take? How can you know so much of basically everything? I hope for the best for your channel and personnal life!

18/42 divided by 24/35 answer just isnt clicking.. consider not everyone will simplify using those same numbers.. in some cases 6 3 or 7 may not be cancelled out to leave you with 5/8.. so then what?
I'm taking the accuplacer next month. I'm nervous. I looked online for people's responses and they all said it was totally different than the practice tests. Idk what to study any tips??? I really wanna score a 250 on this bish.
@@muathahmoudi2081 Not at all actually. Since it wasn't timed, I didn't have the anxiety to rush it. Nothing happens when you "fail". Except you have to wait 14 days to retake what you didn't meet your school's requirements. It was 14 days for my school. Idk if it applies to all schools. I don't really remember the whole test.
Don’t worry about decimals while doing the initial multiplication, just work it out normally. Once you solved that add the total digits behind the decimal then count from right to left. So in problem four, 5.26 and 7.8 there’s total of 3 digits behind the decimal. Our solution to multiplying the two numbers was 41028. Now we take that decimal that’s all the way to the right and move it to the left 3 times so move it once you got 4102.8, second time is 410.28 and then our final jump giving us 41.028.
OK so I’m very confused because on the answer because you’re telling us to use Pendas but that when you use that the answer is wrong at the very end, you subtracted 30 from eight and then you added -9 and 22 so you did edition first but if you do a panda says and subtract first you get the wrong answer I’m so confused
You can divide a hundred by the denominator to get the percentage, and while you are correct that the smaller the denominator, the larger the denomination, we can't ignore the numerator. 1/8 is 12.5%, 1/7 is ~14.3%, and 1/5 is 20%, which follows your logic, but once you insert the numerator; 4/7 = ~57.2% < 3/5 = 60% < 5/8 = 62.5% is the correct answer. Hope that helps.

25 x 4 is equal to 100. you need to turn the denominator into 100 to convert the fraction into a decimal. when you multiply a fraction, you multiply both sides, so you'd multiply 25 x 4 and 9 x 4 together 9/25 x 4/4 = 36/100 = .36

1/8 is 12.5%, 1/7 is ~14.3%, and 1/5 is 20%, which follows your logic, but once you insert the numerator;

Why did you multiply 9/25 by 4/4, I don't understand, someone please explain...would be of great help
25 x 4 is equal to 100. you need to turn the denominator into 100 to convert the fraction into a decimal. when you multiply a fraction, you multiply both sides, so you'd multiply 25 x 4 and 9 x 4 together
9/25 x 4/4 = 36/100 = .36
