IT companies revenue is from abroad in dollars...IT companies are professionally run,
recruitment will be in thousands,they pay well and if you are technically strong than sky is the limit. Whereas for civil engineers best options are Govt job or own construction business plus you have to slog in field. If you don't have any interest don't join civil field

I heard your name from Udemy. Then I started follow your channel. In recent video where you talk about the software scam of civil engineering sector is very relatable. I am from Bangladesh and I also face same type of scam by training institute. And your discussion about how to become a successful Structural Engineer was very true. Now I feel regret why I am not getting this type of tips before. I already loss almost two years from my life after graduated. The market condition civil engineering job sector here in Bangladesh is also very poor. The price of materials eg. Cement, Sand, Reinforcement and many others are much more higher than before. That's why private consultancy and construction firm cutting their costs by keeping less engineer and salary is also very poor. Now I am regret why I am not do IT or Computer Science Engineering. Hi there, it's the same situation in Pakistan as well. There are fewer jobs in the civil field due to the increased prices of cement and steel, leading to many projects being halted. As a result, many civil engineers have switched fields, opting for IT or business. I wish everyone the best, regardless of where they live, and hope that the job markets for civil engineers in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh improve soon.

1. Bunking classes, focusing on materialistic elements, not being diligent during graduation period.
2.Relying on sly tactics like cheating/copying , mugging up concepts without understanding the fundamentals etc to tackle examination.
3. Casual approach towards internships, vocational training and other opportunities pertaining to the same
Countless other reasons can be enumerated , criticising is not the point, it’s about the countless flaws embedded deep into the grass roots of our intrinsic education system. Once these get solved , non genuine universities/colleges get closed/shut down, this branch of engineering shall regain its long lost grandeur and open a new realm of opportunities for deserving candidates. Nowadays , anyone can buy off a degree for names sake and get addressed as an engineer. According to my opinion, it’s much more than one’s pre defined comfort zone but rather, country’s poor governance should also be held accountable.

I worked as a Site Engineer at smcc in 2015 -2016 . Later did masters in structural Engineering and worked in Design for 6 months. In 2018 i got into Teaching as Asst professor for 2.5 Years along with training. Then since 2020 I am consulting Engineer with my Friends and into Teaching and training .
HR and Company should also understand the feeling of freshers, they have just passed out from college, then where will the experience come from, unless you guys give jobs to freshers, then where will the experience come from, give opportunities to freshers at least once.
This country is destined to be doomed or not I don't know. Even I also have anger over our indian companies

If u want salary more at age of 22 and earn in lakhs , go for IT jobs .
In civil earning in lakhs at age of 22-26 is very rare .
If you like buildings , and are passionate about construction , interior designing then u can opt Civil Engineering.
But you will start with salary of 50k if you enter into BIM field in civil engineering.
Maximum salary at age of 22-25 will be 50k in civil, in IT u can earn 1 lakh + at age of 22-25 .. any doubts call on 8095128107

Approx 80 percent Students are mostly from the tier 3 colleges who cannot be placed in such top companies which you are talking about, so they should work under contractors or with small companies only, where salaries are less and no proper work life balance, Moreover MNC jobs are very less in Civil even for experienced, Coming to IT, there is a recession going on throughout the world that's why there are layoffs, once the market becomes good, IT can provide jobs to that 80 percent students with good initial salaries which Civil cannot, I am also civil engineer shifted to IT having a job with proper salary and work life balance, I recommend civil to those who want's the govt job at any cost or those who have family construction business, do proper research before taking any decision
What you told is correct, the problem is even if you start with small companies or contractor, students dont enrol in course and upgrade their knowledge so they stay in sane company and suffer.
There are many mnc companies looking for good candidate but tve problem is lack of skills and lack of communication skills.
Rest civil salary is less compared to it , we have to accept this. But if a civil Engineer works in good companies, he can get a good salary but it will take little time .

Brothers' never think to switch to IT field , because in 2024 the IT field market is worst for freshers' as well as experienced . Many experienced people are getting layoff , Many freshers' aren't getting job because there is too many supply of IT people in India . So for this effect salaries' are also decreasing , so no more salaries like in covid era .
BTW, I'm saying all this because i'm also a BCA student , 2024 passout .
