That's the type of girl that's hard to find. Most people are only there for you when it's convenient, or they're looking to get something back in return. It's a rare person who is there for you but doesn't do so with the mindset of: "Now you owe me," or, "What's in it for me?" I know some people might bash Chloe’s behavior in the beginning prying into Clark’s life. However her love for him was really deep. I sympathize with characters who love someone then that love not being returned. There is simply no greater pain. As seasons continue Chloe becomes a huge part of Clark’s life. I had hoped that Clark would have dumped pining over Lana and given Chloe a good bit of naughty attention, she was totally ready. She is told to Kiss Clark in the scene and then forgets it. Lana was an insecure girl that was more about herself & her feelings, always whining about what Clark didn't do for her in terms of availability. Lois was better for Clark than Chloe because she also accepted him for who he was but also inspired him to be more than he was without pushing for it or demanding it. Lois was more confident & secure than Lana which let Clark stop worrying about trying to appease her and grow as a person to his full potential.
Well, Lana's parents did die right in front of her when she was very young and she was raised by only her aunt, while Chloe and Lois both grew up with fathers in their lives. So it's only natural that Lana needed more support to overcome that trauma and fill the void.
I don't know if people fully grasp just how evil this girl is. I loved this show but it's hard to watch again knowing this sick individual is a key part of it.
