The officer is a horrible person.
That dog wasnt even attacking him. I think hes angry that the dog wasnt "cooperating". This cop definitely has a short fuse.
he has had problems since at least 2017, cases of abusing inmates where he worked. he just gets a new job and a new job again. his own coworker called him sadistic. how he is still allowed to be a cop is beyond me, especially after this. he is there for the power trip and not for justice thats for sure
What an absolute coward
coward? how so?, stop using words you don't know what means
Omg as someone who just had to put down my 15.5 yr old yorkie I am shocked and horrified at this. The lack of effort to use the lasso? Waving off concerned citizens? Blaming rabies and fear of attack? This is heartbreaking! He should be fired and banned from ever owning a gun or any pet ever again! If he does this to an innocent harmless little dog how is he treating his own pets? His kids? That is deplorable! God I'm in tears. How could you look at that dog and think it's dangerous? How?
his own coworker has called him sadistic. if this man has a family he is probably not treating them well
he should also be banned from any and all liquor, cigarettes, social events, restaurants, stores, and hospitals
I’m not an officer but its depressing how we know how to handle a situation more then these idiots
This cop is a sociopath.
The wrong animal got put down that day
He needs jail time
This cop needs to be brought to justice.
Someone call John Wick.

Why would some officer do this? This dog is old, blind, and deaf. He doesn't have any rabies on him. We need justice for the dog. We want the officer to be held accountable.
That officer don't deserve that badge.
That dog is tiny, what a coward that cop is
What the hell is wrong with people? The devil has his tail wrapped around so many.
and now the system allows those people to get their hands on guns
The ignorance of that police officer is a threat to all citizens.
I have my doubts whether he really thought the dog had rabies. The lack of care for the mother’s complaining says a lot. He could’ve listened to her and at the very least apologized for his action to her.
He never mentioned rabies when he talked to the owner. The department issued letter mentioned rabies to cover it up. I read the Sturgeon Missouri forum. Officer Myron Woodson is the town bully.
So evil to take a life of an innocent animal like that. Where's the humanity?
the dog is clearly not abandoned nor sick
One of the few times I've become physical sick watching a youtube video.
I couldn’t watch it. 😢 I was afraid I would feel sick too
@@kdalessandro9895Same, i had to lower down the volume and look away when I heard he was pulling out the gun… only a sick, twisted and cruel mind could bare doing such a thing to an innocent animal
You can tell he just did not care at all cause he waved her off
Oh, hell no. He needs to be charged for murder IMO. All he had to do was find the owner or better yet, use other methods to obtain the pooch. Makes no damn sense.
Call Sturgeon Police Department and complain until this officer us fired. Take it to the State if need be.
That's horrible
Respectfully that dogs life was hell
This infuriates me. The little dog was no threat and was obviously someone's pet, not some feral rabid dog. This officer should be fired and charged with animal cruelty. Why fire the mayor? It was the cop's fault. RIP sweet little dog...you didn't deserve this.
The fact that cops can just say "well I FELT threatened" even when there is obviously and visibly no threat to anyone with two braincells, and we're all just supposed to accept it as a good enough reason for a cop ending the life of an animal or person is nauseating to me. I realise that being a cop is dangerous and you have to make difficult decisions, but when you choose to become a cop you have to accept you're choosing some level of risk to yourself, and be able to handle situations of risk without your first instinct being to fill someone with lead
Noo😢poor little angel r.i.p
Why do the bullies in school become cops🐷
A COP SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THE JUDGEMENT CALL OF PUTTING DOWN AN ANIMAL THAT ISN’T AN IMMEDIATE THREAT!!!
Imagine bro working at a center for seniors…
Bruh it wasn’t even growling
Who tf calling the cops telling a false report?
They should be blame for this too.
That was straight up murder
I have and old, almost blind and deaf dog. It’s small like teddy and just as cute. I couldn’t imagine and officer taking her away from me like that, I can feel the owners emotions, RIP Teddy
🤯My head is about to explode with anger.😮Just as a reminder, in America it takes 1,600 hours of training to become a licensed cosmetologist and just over 600 hours of training to become a police officer.👎Let that sink in.
This isn't about "training." You can't "train" ppl to have a moral compass. No amount of training makes a person give a damn about others. They're INTENTIONALLY hiring psychopaths.
That means nothing

For those curious, they reopened the case and the sociopath is placed on leave. Unsure if it’s paid or not. Sources that I’ve read seem to vary on that.
Never be silent. Public outrage caused them to reopen the case. Not to mention the countless posts from locals about the officer being an arrogant bully from before and after he was given a badge. With a long list of complaints against him.
Its absolutely insane how cops can just be placed on leave instead of fired, or even arrested. This guy killed a dog for no good reason, and he isn't even charged or really punished for it, worse so if it's paid leave. I hate this place.
@@Mae_Renneburg If I was chief, I would have fired him on the spot, and then arrest him with a federal felony under animal cruelty.
Yeah the system just doesn’t make sense. I come from a family of law enforcement and was full on planning becoming on myself even getting a degree in criminal Justice studies for it. But my family and myself realized that the system is so messed up that not even a good cop can help improve or change the system like we had hoped. So most of us just left that life in general. It just didn’t feel right anymore.
The officer should be fired and he should be jailed

The cop was really that threatened by a dog that can’t see or hear where he even is poorly handled situation my condolences go out to the owner.
That poor sweetheart wasnt even growling.
Why do they always protect the officer that’s clearly in the wrong
So he did not get fired!?! Did not resign?
Per usual he ended up on “paid leave”…which didn’t matter because he’s employed by two departments and is still policing in the other department
Two shots for a tiny dog?,Disgusting
Who lets their dog outside if the dog is blind and deaf, stupid owners
to this day, this incident breaks my heart. The cop should be FIRED and go to jail for animal CRUELTY. As a former LEO I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVER DONE THIS to an innocent animal
This is horrible, sicken and disturbing. Just because you’re a cop, doesn’t excuse you of killing. The worse part, they’re protected and justified. There was no threat, no aggression shown. Just a killer killing for no reason. This man is pure evil. RIP peace to that poor soul. He was just living his life and got killed for it. Looked like a sweetheart.
:( I'm sick
Careful a cop might have to dispatch you.
@@moment-of-gloryfor real 💯.
Sue the police department.
Come on, man. This is ridiculous and just so wrong.
It did not look injured or sick! It was not aggressive and did not attack anyone. This is insane. Even if you think a dog is rabid you should have enough care to at least make sure first at a vet, unless it’s foaming at the mouth and is absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt rabid.
He knew the dog didn’t have rabies, he just wanted to kill something so when he had the chance he took it. Evil.
This is just messed up taking away a innocent life away
he wasnt even doing anything "protect the citizens" "thought he had rabies" HE LEGIT HAD NO RABIES EFFECTS
