I like the themes. Fractured Peaks locations have a Russian/Frostpunk/Dostoevsky vibe. Like, "sad babushka making cabbage soup and freezing to death" vibe.
I really liked Fractured Peaks as a setting. Wish there had been more places to enjoy there. In general, the world for the size its meant to present just feels really small and minor compared to earlier games where you get an equal size (or more!) for one town or city or dungeon.
Ashava's fight music is literally the most hype battle music I've ever heard in a while. Too bad that version is _not_ available here. Every time I fight Ashava, it's such an exciting fight because of the music and the fact that the music's tempo becomes more feverish the lower Ashava's life gets.
2:35:37 Legacy of the Horadrim was so inspiring and hopeful - a stark contrast to the gloom and tragic of the campaign - makes me so anxious and curious of what is to come in the chapters that follow

I just finished the five acts for the frist time (didnt start the VI act yet) and I just wanna say you made it guys. This game and everything about it is an absolute masterpiece. Totally in love with the job and the universe you created. Love you Diablo!
Gale Valley is my favourite track in the whole game so far. Sometimes I go to that area just to listen to it. Yelesna and Highlands are also SO good. Edit: I do notice that there's another version of "Gale Valley" which plays in the Mistral Woods, and I kind of prefer that version, although they're both great versions of an amazing piece.
Same! I remember the first time I heard it I was floored and stopped what I was doing. Its so gorgeous, so somber, so trademark Diablo. Might actually be my 2nd all-time favorite Diablo track (after Tristram and ahead of Rogue Encampment).
While I think Matt Uelman's music is forever unrivaled, I have to say that they REALLY knocked it out of the park with this OST. The music is so good and really fits with the vibe of the franchise.
Matt Uelman's work was so much more dynamic and had so many different flavors of sound. D4's stuff is decent, but man, idk what happened between Matt and Blizzard, but I really wish he was still a part of the D4 OST.
@@brietoe meh. Did you hear Matt's work after leaving Blizzard? You either feel that you hear the same Diablo 2 songs, or it's completely uninspired. I guess lightning strikes only once for some people. I love what he did in Diablo 1 and 2 (more in D1 btw) and I'm thankful to him for that, but his presence in D3 & D4 wouldn't have automatically translated into great OSTs.

Marsh at 1:31:37 gives me a combination of goose bumps and anxiety every time. Amazing OST all around! I was vibing the whole time during my first playthrough and still am.
Absolutely stunning! The vibes of Diablo soundtracks are always so oddly comforting despite the visuals of the games, and this has got to be my favorite by far. Menu, Kyovashad, Nevesk, and Olyam Tundra are some of my favorites, but I don't think anything can top struggling against Ashava during the beta with that thrilling theme in the background! (and the song that plays during the epilogue cutscene gave me chills through the entire thing)
First time I entered Nevesk, hearing that guitar strum instantly brought me back to diablo 2. But my favorite song is the theme for the town Kyovashad. It hits all the feels and makes you imagine you are in some dark war-torn european town. Idk if that makes sense but the song could be used in a ww2 movie.
I actually like this soundtrack, it’s one of the few redeeming parts of Diablo 4 along with the story, cutscenes and characters. It’s actually haunting, depressing and makes you feel like you’re apart of that dark world plagued by death, hatred, terror, destruction, sin, lies, anguish, pain and sadness.
I don't think so, D3's soundtrack is like a symphony and it bores me to tears and I don't even dislike classical music. D4 is better but still tries too hard to be epic symphonic music, the choral parts are also pretty generic. I'd rather take the guitars and weird howls with drum beats in D1/d2 any time.
"Gale Valley" and "Highlands" resonate with my soul. Those two always stop me in my tracks to listen everytime. Also loving Nevesk, Yelesna, Kyovashad, Nostrava Olyam Tundra and Ked Bardu.

You can tell by the comments most of them were posted just as people were starting out. JIRANDAI is a masterpiece of music, incredibly beautiful hauntingly magical soul searching tune. Just magnificent! Great OST overall, the sound and music team did an outstanding job.

Used in most modern Hack and Slash. D4 : Innovative in Story telling and world design, also happened to take what was good in every other games of the franchise and mixed them together. I was mindlessly running T8 Infernal Hordes on the most powerful build in the game at the time (spear sorc) by myself when I decided to revisit this soundtrack. At 38:22 Edlhaime Keep track started playing and I decided to mute the game entirely to concentrate on the track. I can't entirely point out why, but very often I feel like I cannot express my thoughts or feelings as in detail or passion as I would like to. But the music does it for me. Especially these tracks. I looked to my left, where in the same room I was sitting with my girlfriend. Dim light from her monitor shined on her face as she smiled, replying something silly to her discord friends whilst playing Diablo 4 herself. In that moment, I highly appreciated her existence. Thankful for everything. Worrisome about the future. Hopeful for better. The music explained it for me. When next track Firebreak Manor started rolling at 42:39 my heart started racing, as if I was about to compete in sports. Still eyeing on her I started crying without her noticing in our dark room. I am not sure how music does these things to me sometimes, yet I welcome it. I am not sure why I am sharing this. I usually never do. But, thank you for this music. It speaks to my soul sometimes. I should go to bed by now and stop writing random comments on youtube that nobody will ever read. I hope that true love seeks everyone in life.
It's amazing how the music accompanies the game as it becomes darker. Each boss makes you feel that it is more epic than the last one with the soundtrack. Love so much this game ❤

This music ois so incredible. And it does such a godo job on building on the Diablo 2 music while not copying it. All the hats off to the composers and directors.
I am an avid listener of video game soundtracks, and Diablo IV has absolutely blown me away in terms of not just composition, but the incredible quality of sound design overall. It's not just the music, but the presentation that truly makes what I would call this production "state of the art". There are so many small nuances at play in the ambient world that work so well with the soundtrack it that elevates head and shoulders above its contemporaries. If you plan on presenting this on vinyl, I will be first in line.

the music team are god tier, bravo! As a musician myself, really love y'all bring back the acoustic guitar and percussion in the arrangement, almost every track have it. Back to old root of Diablo 1 & 2. Yelesna 23:13 and Gale Valley 19:48 track my favorite, fit the diablo iv theme perfectly.
Yo Blizz and Diablo team. This franchise needs a feature film adaptation. Doesnt matter if its live action or animated like your in-game cinematic cut scenes. Everything about this franchise from lore, art design, and to ost is phenomenal.
Finally... Finally Blizzard nailed Diablo soundtrack. Don't get me wrong. This still not Matt Uelmen. D1/D2 soundtracks are still on a different planet with so many memorable unique themes. Here we have something else. Moody, dark and melancholic orchestral ambient which sets a tone for each biome perfectly. It's not overepiced as typically it is done for most AAA games nowdays, as it should be. It flows with the game, makes important few moments more prominent as it should and don't try to go into top of everything. This is rightly done music which makes me immerse into the world. Too bad gameplay do not that as good as this, but it is a different story :) Let's enjoy this at least.
After 15 years of playing WoW and enjoying Blizzard music, i think i will not endure temptation to buy Diablo4. I did play Diablo3 which was magnificent, but this sinister, gloomy and magnificent music is incredible beyond every word. They never miss with it. My favourite parts - Jirandai and Cathedral.

Yo Blizz and Diablo team. This franchise needs a feature film adaptation. Doesnt matter if its live action or animated like your in-game cinematic cut scenes. Everything about this franchise from lore, art design, and to ost is phenomenal.
Finally... Finally Blizzard nailed Diablo soundtrack. Don't get me wrong. This still not Matt Uelmen. D1/D2 soundtracks are still on a different planet with so many memorable unique themes. Here we have something else. Moody, dark and melancholic orchestral ambient which sets a tone for each biome perfectly. It's not overepiced as typically it is done for most AAA games nowdays, as it should be. It flows with the game, makes important few moments more prominent as it should and don't try to go into top of everything. This is rightly done music which makes me immerse into the world. Too bad gameplay do not that as good as this, but it is a different story :) Let's enjoy this at least.

After 15 years of playing WoW and enjoying Blizzard music, i think i will not endure temptation to buy Diablo4. I did play Diablo3 which was magnificent, but this sinister, gloomy and magnificent music is incredible beyond every word. They never miss with it. My favourite parts - Jirandai and Cathedral.
