    Thank you so much for the shout-out and kind words! I'm really glad you enjoyed Lily. It's exciting to see people enjoying the weird words I sometimes put out there.
    There are some really awesome looking adventures here, too. It's crazy how much great stuff there is - I feel like I've spent a lot of time looking for modules just like these, and they were still completely new to me.

    I'm a little late but I wanted to say thanks for the review on Rotting Gardens! I just put out another adventure in a similar format called The Ravenous Den. It's short, dark and heavily themed like the first one. All these adventures are really cool, I especially like the parallel dungeons concept and the labeled map in lair of the alchemist.

    Great collection! And I like your presentation style, conversational, but not rambling. Thanks for including Parallel Dungeons!

    Love the Chrono Trigger music in the background. Went through the Shadowdark adventures and realized I already had one of them, haha.

    Nice finds! Thanks for bringing these to light, I needed some material to adapt for a new world build, some small stuff for in between the big stuff, this was perfect

    Great recommendations! Downloaded most! I can't remember if I've seen you review "Temple of the Moon Priests", but I think it will be right up your alley looking at these recommendations. It's a great one page dungeon/adventure, I ran it a few months back and it was a blast and so easy to run. Really got me excited about what you can accomplish on such a limited amount of space (looking at you 5e adventure tomes...)

      I haven't reviewed it on here, but I love that dungeon! It's definitely right up my alley!

      @@RedMageGM It was a really fascinating level where you had to run through a complex but you were given a bracelet that would shift you between timelines. It was really awesome, if I recall correctly you would have to shift between timelines to fight enemies in the past and solve puzzles in the future to progress through the complex.

    Most of these seem to require DM to come up with a reason why anyone would try to swim in a glacier lake or eat ghost food or whatever puzzle happens to block the way. Good thing these are short and cheap because some parties would fight the hydra and continue on their way or check the accessible rooms and leave when they cannot find any sign of the artist.

    • @RedMageGM
      @RedMageGM  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They all do require some DM work but overall, yeah, they're small enough that I imagine you could throw them in almost on a whim and if the players miss some of the content, it's not the end of the world.

    You mentioned a couple of times running West Marches games, I’ve always liked the idea of it but thought of it as a little daunting. Did you have a lot of fun running a game like this and if so do you have any helpful tips?

    • @RedMageGM
      @RedMageGM  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a bit daunting at first, but it's really amazing once you get going. I have run a couple west marches games - each one lasted a year+, with the current one I'm running still going at 14 months. It's a blast! But it is a lot of work. At least, it was the way I ran it. I think ideally it's less upfront work, with more pre-session prep. The nice thing is that you can add a lot of general content, teasers so to speak - hints, rumors, map fragments, etc., and see what the players gravitate towards.
      I'm not sure I have any really useful tips that others haven't said better elsewhere. I'd check out the original Westmarches post:
      arsludi.lamemage.com/index.php/78/grand-experiments-west-marches/
      and Matt Colville's video on the topic:

      I appreciate the info!! Just out of curiosity, what system are you currently using?

    • @RedMageGM
      @RedMageGM  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For that, I'm using a heavily modded 5e. But generally, I'm running Shadowdark these days.
