After touring the 80s and hearing throwing stones so much I would been fine if I never heard it again, then I heard jrad do it at the Capitol a few years ago and they did things to that song you wouldn't think was possible now it's top 5 easily
I love this band! For those unfamiliar, they cover songs (many GD tunes, even covers of covers played by GD) Their jams range from GD-like at times and usually morph into something that is unique to the chemistry of this incredibly talented group. This cover of "Rubin and Cherise" is a great example. The jam that starts at ~6:00 is a great example. It's a little frantic to a lot of old school Dead Heads, but I love the energy. Great vibe overall at the shows, too. Can you recreate the experience of a genuine GD show? Of course not, but I have the memories of those shows and JRAD shows are something different. They ain't you're everyday cover/tribute band. For me, they capture the spirit of what the GD's live performances were all about.
Wow, congrats on ten years. I discovered these guys about 5 years ago and have been impressed with everything I've seen, never have seen them in person but have watched lots of clips. Great players, all and they really gel as a unit.
Marco Benevento is so fucking good!

I forgot how much I love Rubin and Cherise. Such a sad story though.
Going to see them this weekend in Atlanta for the first time, long time coming……can’t wait!!!
Waitin for June 14 at this year's Bonnaroo. JRAD makes the $400 tickets worth every penny!😊
