@@sweetpie7919It can be, but after draining the honey and removing the frames, you can put the extractor close to the hive and the bees will reclaim almost all the honey, then it's soap and hot water.😊

@@adelechicken6356 I suppose. I saw one at a friends house. It looked so tall, like you'd practically have to dive in to wash it, lol. I asked if it was hard to wash and she made such a funny face and said, you don't wanna know. I guess I'm going off of that.

@@sweetpie7919 That sounds very different from the one we used, ours held 4 frames and was hand cranked. Probably about 30 inches tall. The one you saw may have been for 8 or more frames. Now I'm going to have to do some research because it's been a long time since we kept bees. I'm always up for learning more. ☺

Years ago I met a beekeeper at a flea market. He had a large pile of beeswax that he said he'd sell for cheap, but he usually just throws it away. I explained to him, after buying his pile of beeswax, that crafters and candlemakers love to use beeswax. He should search out any crafters to see if he could sell it to them. He must have been successful because I never got any more beeswax 😢.

I had access to a large quantity of raw bees wax back in the 90's. I made candles in a bunch of really nice sea shells I collected from my lobster traps in Key West. Big horse conch shells mostly. I rested the shells on beds of Spanish moss and boxed them up gave them out for Christmas and New years.

    I just realized something.
When youre soaking the wax clumps in hot water to get the last dregs of honey out and separate the wax, that left over honey infused water is probably how the first mead got started.
All you would need to do is keep it, and or wait a few days to strain it, and let some wild yeasts fall in/ or let some yeasty cross contamination happen from the bread etc youre making , and soon you will have some tasty honey filled alcoholic bubbly goodness

    • @CkTubeFu
      @CkTubeFu 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

@@carissalebaron3028its surprisingly easy. Make a honey syrup by mixing non chlorinated water and honey on low heat until fully incorporated and let it cool to room temp.
Pour into a clean bottle (I prefer used soda/seltzer since they're made to withstand carbonated pressure which will occur during fermentation) and then add brewer's yeast. Keep out of sunlight. In a day or 2 when you see bubbles forming start to 'burb' the bottle daily by slightly unscrewing cap just enough to let excess pressure escape before resecuring cap. Repeat for 21~30 days and you've got a mead. Earlier for slightly sweet and bubbly 🍾 later for stronger and floral 🥂
Use a honey you like, once the yeast convert the sugars you'll be left with the floral notes of the pollen source... so If you don't enjoy the honey you won't be enjoy the mead.
Adding fruit into the syrup process will give additional notes to your final product. I'm currently ~2weeks into a figged mead🤤

Have you ever made something an idol, used God’s name as a cuss word, dishonor your parents, murder (God views hate as murder), lusting, stealing, lying, wanting something another has that isn’t rightfully yours?
Doing so we violating the law, which is sin, and because of sin there is a punishment…If a serial killer like Ted Bundy tells a judge of all the good things he’s done for society do you think the judge would let the serial killer off free? The same is with us; we’ve committed such crimes against God that we are separated from God forever; we are punished by suffering Hell for eternity, a place with no hope for us.
But God loves us so much and with all his heart that he gave his only Son, Jesus Christ, to this cursed world to be crucified on the cross. (John 3:16-17)
Now anyone who accepts Jesus Christ, God’s Son, as their Lord and Savior and believes he rose from the dead the third day will be saved from eternal damnation in Hell and live in Heaven in paradise with him forever.
Many will choose to follow Satan, whether it be because they think they won’t succeed otherwise or won’t have any joy or friendships, but he will soon reveal himself as a murderer and a liar as he was since the beginning and he will curse all his followers as he cursed God and all of Satan’s followers will be cased into ever burning Hell. Don’t believe this lie I too believed in! Our God is a loving God full of compassion, yet he is a righteous God with righteous judgment. (Matthew 13:41-42)

Some extra fact: The honey is collected from super chamber of Beehive. It is a chamber where honey bees store surplus or extra honey which they produce. It is above their need. As for beewax in honey bee its made from the honey. For 1tsp of beewax a bee need to consume 6-7 tsp of honey. Also there is not any kind of harm done while beekeeping. And only some particular bees can be domesticated. Also if bees see some unfavorable condition they can leave the beehive.

You don't need an oven, just add water and boil it, then strain it, then repeat it again abd you will have a very clean beeswax to use 👌
BTW, even if you have an extractor you still need to go through the same thing, they just use the extractor to safe as much honey as possible and safe time.

Do you do anything with the home water after the wax is solidified?
