Popcorn was no ordinary hamster. With the soul and attitude of a dog, he quickly won the hearts of those around him. Chris, who initially thought little of the tiny animal, was surprised by Popcorn's larger-than-life personality. Initially, Popcorn belonged to Chris' daughter, but he and Chris quickly became BFFs, sharing naps, food, and fun. Unfortunately, Popcorn is not here anymore, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

My very first pet all my own was a Hamster i walked to the store and bought her for .99 i named her MISSY💜 she was the cutest little critter her first home was a 10 gallon aquarium she did not like it she kept escaping she became my best friend her escaping became a game where would she go what was she doing after a while at night she would escape and end up sleeping with me on my pillow or after her adventures around the house she would find my fathers slippers and sleep in there she loved watching tv in my fathers jammy pocket MISSY loved taking baths she did not like her little cheeky pouches cleaned and she loved our dog SARGE she would sit on his head and just look around one kiss from SARGE and she didnt need a bath that day i loved her so very much i lost my 💜MISSY💜💔 two weeks before her 5 th birthday it was a Sunday i was getting ready for church my heart was broken i will never forget my little hammy i still have a blanket she chewed holes in its a treasure to me !!!!

Most people (myself included) don't realize how intelligent and personable various species of animals are until we have one of our own. They add so much purpose and JOY to our lives. It becomes impossible to consider them "just an animal"" because they become family!

I inherited my son's hamster "Noodles" 8 years ago.. He was almost 1 when he moved into Grandma's House.. He was so much love and fun wrapped up in a tiny furball.. My grandchildren doted on him almost as much as I did. Then one morning I went to check on him and give him his morning lovins and he had passed.. i bawled for days over his passing then looked up their lifespan and was shocked.. they dont live as long as a dog or cat.. You have to cherish every day with them..
This year my Grand-guinea pig Mr. Woo came to live with me..(his parents are unfortunately separated) He's brought so much happiness back into my home and is a true "Grandma's boy"❤ I deliberately wear sweat shirts and anything with big pockets so i can carry him around the house. He literally crawls into them and squeals when he's ready for an adventure ❤ These little furry potatoes are wonderful pets and bring so much personality and love into a home as long as you include them and treat them like family ❤

Daaaaw, rodents live such very short lives and are only with us for a very short time. Just remember, even though they are a very 'small' (BIG) part of our lives, to them, we are everything, and as long as they are happy, that is all we, as pet parents can do. I miss my precious little girl, Mini, who was such a beautiful Teddy Bear Hamster who lived nearly 5 years old. Mini loved her microfibre hand towels rather than wood chips b/c she thought the wood chips were too messy. Mini was very particular about her cleanliness. I recall she got stuck behind the drywall & when she finally got out, she was so upset of how dirty she was. Her pissed-off facial expression said it all of how upset she was about getting stuck & getting dusty & dirty from behind the wall. Therefore, I made sure that an incident could never happen again b/c I'd get the nonstop wrath of Mini! She tiny but mighty!!! I love her so much & miss her tremendously...🤣😂❤❤

I thought they bite people a lot. I’ve had Rats, Chinchillas, Rabbits, Possums,yet was believing the hype.
Deffiently a rarity. Ive owned two and they bite.. plus always anxious. I dont like hamsters as a pet. Adorable but an anxious mess usually

Never feed GRAPES to rodents or dogs -grapes- are very poisonous/toxic to them.
