1983 Mercedes 240d Back from the Dead Series Motor Mounts

In this video I will review how I replaced both the motor mounts and the engine shock. I had to use a helper on this project to slide the engine over enough to get the bolts in the mounts. Its not a hard job, just a little awkward. The results were fantastic and cut the vibration of the car in gear a huge amount. The link to where I bought the product is below at Amazon.

Try the valve adjustment first* then the injectors Just some advice

Looks good. Run VCDS app on a laptop connected to the Jetta. Try and find timing errors and use it to adjust the Quantity of fuel injected.

Yes I have that on a laptop but the engine has to be running for it to work.

I think you can pull codes off the obd2 connector with just the battery powering up the engine computer, I’d def start there and try and see if the computer sensed anything thru its sensors and logic..

@@christothegreat1 I have a scan guage thats constantly hooked up to m y OB2 port for the last 15 years so I can monitor stuff and there is no codes right now.

Change one mount at the time. Dont take out the bolts on both sides when supporting the engine from underneath 😊
