Due to the high number of back injuries in EMS You should make a workout routine/general preventative tips to make sure you do not get injured and have a long EMS career
I get out of the military in a couple months and I’ve always been interested in being an EMT/paramedic. I have no prior ems experience other than being CPR certified just because my job requires it. What I want to ask is how should I start? Should I do emt basic first? Or should I take college classes to prepare me for emt basic? And also, I enjoy watching your vids man! So much information to be learned, it’s so dope
Hey Daniel, thanks for watching the channel and the kind words about what I do. Yes, you're first step is to find a local EMT-Basic Course simple as that, check local hospitals, community colleges, EMS academys, ambulance services etc. When you are set and have the course booked, take my prep course (online video series) to best prepare and make your EMT course WAY easier. @@TheParamedicCoach Awesome man, thank you for the reply. I look forward to seeing where this field takes me and being able to have the help needed to make sure I’m successful. Again, thank you for what you do and you’ll be seeing me around again with more questions 🤙🏽
I have a question I think it’s very important to ask as many will want to know I’m sure , in New York how much does a emt makes starting out and after like 3 to 5 years how much could they earn without the the overtime
Does EMS have to give bad news much? Or is that more left for the doctors? You mentioned of course sometimes you just have a bad outcome and there’s nothing you can do so I’m just curious if you ever had to give that bad news to the family or explain what happened. I’m sure that’s a huge leading cause to burnout
Hey Jon, thanks for watching the channel here. Starting EMT school in January, right now is the perfect time to start preparing for school. The prep Course is self-paced so you have access to all the videos and study at your own pace. The Prep Course, will help you understand the main concepts of EMT school before you walk in on day 1, as EMT school is very accelerated. Look forward to seeing you in the course, I give all my students lifetime access to the course; www.prepareforems.com
i waited too long to take the nremt and of course all the info i learned is not fresh as it was when i completed the course, i don’t know what to do and i’m struggling to refresh my memory, could you possibly give some tips or any ideas of what my best option could be
Hey Kenly, first thanks for the message here. Secondly, you are not alone, I get a ton of messages in the exact same spot you are in. For this reason, I created my National Registry Prep Course, where you have access to all the video prep, community and access to ask me questions as you study. Prepare for the best teacher ever!!!
Me to man

I feel I order to live a comfortable life with a good job you have to be both fire and ems.
Thanks for watching!
I agree it seems like the better quality employers are all fire based.

I want to be an EMT and later on branch off to other things in the healthcare field BUT can i even be an EMT with my back problems? I have sciatica :(

How do you feel about hybrid EMT courses?
As long as the student is self-disciplined no problem.
Thoughts on paramedics carrying firearms?
If I start emt school in January, how long will your prep course be if I started this month?
